Skeleton Den (Fan Recreation) - Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

Composed by Soshiro Hokkai, arranged by... me! Rather than recreate it by ear from scratch like my last cover, I ripped the MIDI data directly from a ROM of the game and worked off of that (there was no way I was going to be able to recreate those drum parts accurately by ear lmao.) I did make some small changes to the arrangement here and there but for the most part because HoD's soundtrack was originally held back by sound limitations I wanted this to be as close to the original as possible, with most of my arrangement efforts focused on instrumentation and mixing rather than putting my own creative spin on it. As always because I'm still a relative novice, feedback is greatly appreciated!
The timing of this upload just so happens to coincide with shortly after Halloween but in truth that wasn't really intentional. I had been revisiting Harmony of Dissonance's soundtrack and, despite having been largely dismissive of it in the past, fell in love with it upon rediscovery. Soshiro Hokkai is an amazing composer and I only wish we could've gotten more compositions from him within the Castlevania franchise before he seemingly disappeared from the world of game composition. I hope with this arrangement I was able to accurately interpret what he envisioned when composing this soundtrack.
