Might be worth a look at the rods and mains on the engine, depending on how many hours are on it. The high horsepower 426 Chalmers engine were great engines, just hate to see something go wrong due to worn bearings. Good luck. Thanks again for the videos.
Guy by us had one for years. Never seemed to have many problems. Pulled it like it was a 7080, and not like our Versatiles. Lots of people pulled the smaller engines tractors like they were 300hp, and called them junk later when they ragged them out. Not the tractor’s fault!
Funny you mention guys who worked the smaller tractors hard - one of the area farmers when I grew up decided he needed less soil compaction and went "small" by trading a Steiger and a Versatile for two Magnum 7140s to work ground. His planter tractor was a 2wd AC 7080 which was used to pull a 24-row JD planter......that tractor always looked unique because he mounted gray Magnum duals on the back when it pulled that planter, which was huge back then. I always thought it was pretty cool that tractor could handle that big-ass planter.
Love to see the older Iron brought back! Put some new tires on get the little bugs fixed and full service its ready to go to work!! Good luck with it! Fresh paint and restore the interior it be almost new again!!
Yes be careful that the bearings are put in the right way an head gasket can be put on wrong we had one for a while till the mechanic messed it up. Also make sure the drive shift is fixed right or it will come apart again
Looks a great tractor. I like old machinery as it was made to last for many many years. The stuff today is only as good as the computor in it as in a few years you will not be able to get another computor module then the whole show is stuffed.
I am not as familiar with that tractor as I am the 70xx series, but I think that rear end is very very similar, meaning the rear drive train is pressure lubricated, and driving it anywhere other than around the yard is NOT a good idea, you could easily seize the high/low range gears to the pinion shaft, without the power shaft connected from the front to rear.
We like the styling, the fact most of the parts are interchangeable with the 7000 series, where the cab is in relation to the pivot point. Still working on the u joint so haven't had a chance to test it in the field yet
There is no way i would pay for a service call *or* a tube for that tire! 🤣 She's done! I also don't want to buy 4 new radial Firestones for her, either!
Purrs like a kitten at a milk pail. Beautiful old girl.

Didn't think I needed a Allis ....now I do.
Everyone does
This is a neat series of videos. Thank you for taking us along on this. I like the bits of humor thrown in from time to time. Great channel men!
I am no AC guy but that's a hell of a tractor!, 👍
That ole gal looks and sounds great! Can’t believe she’s been sitting. Can’t wait to see what you do with her now that she’s home
Nice unit! Glad you saved it. I've always wanted one. I'll be sure to get a model of one for the Farming simulator! haha
I always love to see old sitting machines operating again. Great video! I've been waiting for this for a while now. I'm glad you guys got it going 👍🏻

I bet the dog was offering by far the most useful advice about pumping the tire up 😊
Closed captions thought when she first fired she was saying "sooooooo"
And your loader tractor was "applause"😂
That thing looks sweet! I'm pretty sure my Mom would kill my dad and I if we ever brought anything like that home😅
I remember my father looking to buy one in the end we made do with 7040’s and 7060’s Might just hunt me down one.
Old tractor looks good. Makes me miss the D17 we use to have. Hope to find another around income tax time next year.
Good to see you got it going again!
Awesome find can’t wait for the progress
7580 really wasn't big horse power, at least by today's standards, just made excellent use of what it had.
Great video! No feeling quite like getting a new toy!
Been waiting on this for a while!
Got all the rims for the duals, but only 2 of them have tires
@@JandLVideos y’all going to be running it for tillage ?
We're gonna try!

We had both of those tractors 👍🏾

5:15 the cat finally decided enough was enough
Enjoy part 2 of 7580 vid👍can’t wait to see 7580 in the field pulling AC farm equipment, are going restore or keep working clothes?
Probably just give it a good cleaning, it's looks good in its working clothes. Maybe repaint the black on the frame.
nice tractor!
Looks like a pretty clean tractor
Good video I enjoyed it 👍
the best message is: it runs
LOVE IT !
Good job guys!
Good luck!

I guess I don't really know as well, but definitely will try and find out as that would not be good!
When you try to jack up put the biggest base down first ,with the smallest down first you just push it in to the ground.
Old iron is great 👍
Also J and L what do you personally like about the Allis Chalmers 4 wheel drives.

Nice!!
👍👍
My grandpa had one before if caught fire. Then we got a steiger.
Nice.
There is no way i would pay for a service call *or* a tube for that tire! 🤣
She's done!
I also don't want to buy 4 new radial Firestones for her, either!
did you get the other duals too?
Yep, just put the one on so we could get it home
But does it have an 8track tape deck?
Nope they didn't splurge on that in this one
The chrome Allis Chalmers emblem is missing on the door!
No, it's there you can see it in the part 1 video, that's the first thing I looked for when he showed it to me the first time...
@@JandLVideos lol, 👍 we carry cab kits for the 7580 if you need one.
Relianceworksllc.com
@@RJ1999x he wants to redo the cab interior, not sure how fast he'll get to it
@@JandLVideos I have 2 7580's a Black Belly and a Maroon, which in in the process of being reborn!
Stay tuned! lol
best first start and drive video ever. mainly because of the color. but even an ugly color would have been a good video just not best ever
Motor sounds tired
Did allis make these....or are they rebadged White- Oliver's?......with allis tin work...
Yep, these are Allis Chalmers made
They went down the same single assembly line with all the "New Family" models.
You sold video by the young man using bicycle pump.
