The Union Cabinet has cleared the proposal to hold simultaneous elections in India, as recommended by a high-level committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind.
The Kovind committee had recommended simultaneous elections, popularly referred to as “One Nation, One Election” for the Lok Sabha and state assemblies as the first step followed by synchronised local body polls within 100 days. If Indian politics already experienced fail in ‘ one nation one election ‘ why this is doing again. Quite difficult to a country like India because Odisha, ,Andra pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh ,Sikkim have election have at same time for both state assembly and Lok Sabha and really at that time state face political chaos , law and order disruption and more crime
