Thanks for the wonderful videos. A good feature of the FEI microscopes is the presence of a circular mark on the viewing screen. This can be used to check the presence of condenser astigmatism.

Indeed! Do JEOLs not have this circular screen marking? It's been a while (years) since I've used a JEOL, so I 'm actually not sure at the moment...

@@NicholasRudawski jeol microscopes have a screen marker but it's not circular shapes. There are just 4 cut corners of squares.

I really appreciate your effort for making it easier for the graduate student to understand the basics.
    Cheers!

As always, a very informative and detailed video. Thank you so much for this amazing initiative. I love your videos and they have taught me a lot. Althought you already hinted towards it, I would like to request you to make a video about CBED and nanobeam diffraction. Thank you again.

Glad you found the video useful! Yes, I'm getting around to the CBED video; part of the delay is that I need a good sample for demoing it; I also film the videos while at work and I can only really do this when I have no other pending responsibilities. Seeing as CBED has been the most requested topic thus far, I promise I will make this my next upload.
