DIY Shutters - whats in the box - how to install - inside mount

The shutters come in 2 parts, the 1st part is the outer fixing frame, a bit like a picture frame. The 2nd part are the shutters that fit within that frame. The frame comes mitred with the hinges and magnets pre-fitted and the shutters have the other half of the hinge and magnets fitted. There is a removable hidden insert strip that runs around the front edge of the frame, behind this strip are the pre-drilled fixing holes.
It's very easy to clip the frame together, then the shutters just drop neatly into the frame. You can adjust the hinges if you need to, but pretty much the shutters open and close neatly within their frames so the only fitting involved is screwing that frame to the window.
The hidden insert system is called 'easy fit' and allows the shutters and frames to be aligned and fitted all at once. This makes fitting really easy, because when the shutters are fitted in the frame, they keep it square, and when the shutters are fitted squarely they open and close easily.
The basic shutter kit remains the same but there are slight variations and different options and benefits available with each material, like the choice of MDF, wood or waterproof shutters. There are different frame designs that adjust to different window styles, they allow for handles, inward opening windows and the different louvre sizes.
