    Real good video. Must appreciate the channel. Happy to see such good teachers who can explain in such nice way with photos as well animation. some possible things to be added like, how to test a starter if it has gone bad or not. explain how electronic choke works. it is better then magnetic choke etc. keep it up with more good videos.

    Bhai agar starter kharaab hojaaye so agar ham usko manually nikal k khud circuit close krte h and then open kr dete h to kya starter ka function fulfill hojaega?

      Whenever current flows initially & passes through a coil/choke a magnet field is produced around it as long supply is given.
      In above situation suppose if you interrupt the flowing current by opening the circuit(in this case the starter does this job of opening the circuit rapidly) here you need to understand that the magnetic lines want to fade/die away immediately, in the process of fading magnetic field having no other way the magnetic lines cut the insulated wire in the choke rapidly at this very point a very high voltage is induced/produced which is many times more than the initial supplied voltage but in a reverse direction to the initial supply.
      Above process is as per Lenzs law.

      It is because once the current starts flowing the tiny arc extinguishes and as the arc extinguishes the bimetallic strip cools down and disconnects and the neon gas de-ionizes (since the arc is gone) and acts as an insulator between the metallic strips. In this condition the starter is said to be in OFF condition. Hope this answers your question.

    I have a query - the input supply is not DC, it is AC. So, how come the inductor(Ballast) is getting charged on an AC supply ?

      Bhai jis tarah Capacitor ko DC ma use nahi kiya jata usi tarah inductor ko DC ma use nahi kiya jata ussa koi EMF induce nahi hota isliye AC usko use kiya jata hai.
