@@RodneyHaltom I can only imagine you don't surf Rod? The bloke on the wave first has made an enormous effort to 'Get out the back' to catch the wave earlier than anyone else and has every intention of maximising that effort and riding the wave all the way in. It's surf etiquette. Additionally, it's a health and safety issue. The bloke on the wave could potentially not see the bloke dropping in and if he was on a short board with a sharp nose + sharp fins there's the chance of a nasty outcome. That's on top of clash of bodies and heads.
I’m a Pom and I learnt how to surf at big hill back in 97. 25 years later I’m still surfing and I still remember the beauty of this area and the big fish
Can tell the vibe out there is pure. No egos, no one tripping about sharing waves. Nothing but mutual respect and love of surfing. Wish I was there. I live 100s of miles inland and haven't seen the ocean in like 8 years, I miss her.
That may well have been the case on this particular day BUT this is a rare one off I would say for the current travel situation we find ourselves in .. too many wanna be backpacking trendies invade this break along with other wanna beez during various holiday periods and they have no understanding of courtesy or respect in the water .... gets down right dangerous
Nice, me and my 3 Yank friends will be there next month with our SUP's! Haha, joking, if I ever came to your part I'd be alone, paddling a mid length, full respect and a cooler full of brew on the beach to hand out to anybody who said hi.
@@jellybean90 Yeah man, I've hung out with Aussies enough to know that, although I'll admit it took a long time to figure what sepo meant. Just making fun of myself, same as when I said I was going to show up with three friends on SUPs
@@crescenthead4027 I said Tryed this joke on a night club bouncer. He didn't laugh. Then he showed me his "Angourie arm tattoo". I was escorted from the premises. 😃
I was out at Crescent Head for Schoolies 98. Nostalgia seeing this. Thank-you for sharing.
0.18 "Oh... I guess I didn't want this wave - yeah you go ahead and drop in on me, that's fine I wasn't bothered about the rest of my ride"....
yeah!!.........no wuckers.
as it should be! ... share and share alike

Videos with no one droped in are so rare. I don't like, I don't do.
wave etiquette has long died.
American here. Visited in June-Sept. 1979. Boy was it rural and undeveloped then. The pt. wasn't happening but the beach breaks to the south were fun.

@@waxhead63 Remember we are all local somewhere and visitors everywhere else.
At 1:19 dolphins are in the wave (bottom left)
awesome video, perfectly captured our beautiful home 👍🐳🌊😁
And beautiful people
Thankfully it's a surfing reserve. I like that idea. I wish that was more the case in the U.S. Nice.
Surfing reserve and national parks surround Crescent Head.
Dang its like a wave pool its so perfect..smooth
Wow super pretty look at that water clear like the bahamas crystal
If that was California, there'd be 400 people out. Australia is truly the lucky country.
Both at least.
Run over the kooks
800
Most amazing thing is the small number of cars in the car park , normally with this surf it woulld be full with 100+ surfers in the water
Popular spot.
Nice ! Bucketlist for sure Bruddas🤙🤙
Catch up then.
What a beautiful spot!!
It really is!
That's probably my favourite place in Australia for a lot of reasons.
Hard to think of a negative about the area.
Australia really is a fucking paradise!
I wanna take a quad fin shortboard here and absolutely ruin the spot 😂😂😅
A 6ft x 22.5in fish works well.
Dolphins riding waves at 1:18. How idyllic!
Yep.
Beautiful spot
Beautiful one day perfect the next.
Much love from PNW
Thanks bella

To many sharks out there. You can't see them but they are there. Don't advise surfing there
