the fair HvH only scenario sadly doesn't exist. the amount of cheaters reduced my active friendslist to less than 20%. they didn't want to bother with faceit and the amount of "fair" counter cheating we received was incredible. i mostly retreated into aim trainers and compete against myself there. in the rare occasions when i still play cs2, i struggle to reach peak performance because i start to notice cheaters very quickly and at this point don't care about the game anymore. sometimes i watch the demos and i have close 90% detection rate, just based on how i was shot. at this point i am just waiting for another game to release and play that in it's early stages, where cheats are less common. as soon as i see a cheater in said game i uninstall it.
Straight up 💯 online competitive games are cooked, cheating is simply easier and more enjoyable. Getting gud isn't really that important anymore in a world of less and less attention... premier lobbys are fully comprimised, and I don't think VAC ai is ever going to work as intended

valve could make an anticheat themselves if they wanted, trust me neverlose devs are not smarter than valve devs, valve earns money on cheaters, and cheaters do get banned eventually it just takes a little bit of time but thats what valve wants, so they keep buying prime over and over again, but there are many reasons why they arent making a real time detecting anticheat
