I still don’t understand why Directors decided to make them related even though they act (secretly deep on the inside) as if they are much more than that. Even though he injures her, He always looks her deeply into her eyes before he does so, as if he needs to get one last good look for himself. He doesn’t let anyone else hurt her or come after her but himself. He’s crazy and insane but also loving in his own psychotic way

There is a struggle there, a struggle Michael always makes sure to give the advantage to his victim just so they might be able to turn the tables. Some clue, a hint, showing himself before the attack. There is a connection between horror and sexuality. In sexual terms, he is very dominant yet gives enough slack so with the right partner they will be able to dominate him if they prove strong enough to do so. Violence has become his sexuality, his entertainment, his hobby, his passion, his art. He has nothing else and nothing else matters to him but that. Because that is what he does best, it is where he has power. Not absolute power, though. Or else it wouldn't be fun.
I actually really enjoy RZ's Halloween 1 (because it felt way more realistic with the abusive family, as opposed to Carpenter's more supernatural first one- although it was still bomb). I also loved Michael's humanity in reaching out to his sister and protecting the young woman being assaulted in his sanitarium cell. Carpenter's Halloween 2 is a close second though... Michael only seeks to kill but in Halloween 2 where he is already a remake version of the zombie Rob, this one if he shows to have feelings for Laurie since he loves her until he shows her a photo of himself with the baby
