Loved this video - it gave me the confidence to start playing with my own invoice layouts in Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019... but you've created a monster, LOL. Now I want to maintain that design throughout my printables: credit memos, statements, purchase orders, etc.. Manually setting each element (over and over again) in each form is painful! Here's hoping that you will post a video on how to apply a design across multiple forms.

We bill the same customers month to month. I have my invoice list with the invoices that are needed. However, my clients want me to add the time frame the invoice is good for. ie. 1/1/2022 -> 2/1/2022. Right now I have to type that in on the description line on each invoice. Is there a way for quickbooks to do this for me?

My invoice shows a sub-total on the printed invoice but not on the screen. I can't check the "screen" box. I'm worried that when I pay commission the report totals on the amount that includes tax. Any suggestions?

Great video! I just started with quickbooks and in a few minutes I created a custom invoice! Couple questions though How do I create a line across the invoice where the customer can detach the top stub and mail it with their payment? I can't seem to get the account number for the customer to auto populate the invoice when I'm creating them. Did I miss something in setting this feature up? Thanks again.

Susan, the description comes from the "item" or "product/ service" depending on which version of QB you are using. To change the description you can change it right on the invoice or edit the item.
Hi, I enjoyed your video as it is quite informative. I'm using QuickBooks desktop and I am customizing a service invoice. I customized the column and I added a new field and I checked the screen and print boxes. When I go to the invoice I cannot tap to the new column that I set up and I don't know why. How do you cutomize the print sales or invoice form to add a column without it overlapping when it prints. I did one and it shows fine on the screen but when it prints it overlaps and I cannot seem to fix it. When I go into the customize part where the check marks are for print or screen it does not show the overlapped column so I cannot adujust it. I am trying to figure out how to get the "Memo" information to show/print on the invoice. We create invoices and add notes/work information for the customer. When we print an invoice, that information doesn't show up----we have to create a statement in order for it to show up. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Good morning Candus, My boss purchase a vehicle for the company total amount of $10677.37 however he made a $4500 payment towards that vehicle but he used his personal bank account. Which now I have to reimburse him for that 4500. Loved this video - it gave me the confidence to start playing with my own invoice layouts in Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019... but you've created a monster, LOL. Now I want to maintain that design throughout my printables: credit memos, statements, purchase orders, etc.. Manually setting each element (over and over again) in each form is painful! Here's hoping that you will post a video on how to apply a design across multiple forms.

We bill the same customers month to month. I have my invoice list with the invoices that are needed. However, my clients want me to add the time frame the invoice is good for. ie. 1/1/2022 -> 2/1/2022. Right now I have to type that in on the description line on each invoice. Is there a way for quickbooks to do this for me?

How do I make more columns that multiply them selves? for example,

How do I create a line across the invoice where the customer can detach the top stub and mail it with their payment?

Can you set up different description titles within an invoice with subtotals i.e Administration Fees and Disbursements
Susan, the description comes from the "item" or "product/ service" depending on which version of QB you are using.
To change the description you can change it right on the invoice or edit the item.

How do you cutomize the print sales or invoice form to add a column without it overlapping when it prints. I did one and it shows fine on the screen but when it prints it overlaps and I cannot seem to fix it. I am trying to figure out how to get the "Memo" information to show/print on the invoice. We create invoices and add notes/work information for the customer. When we print an invoice, that information doesn't show up----we have to create a statement in order for it to show up. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Great Help, Thank you. I have one question for you. Can you move the placement of the payment status stamp? Mine is in a location where it is being cut off when I print paid invoices. I believe its overlapping another text field? This text field does not appear on the layout design page to be able to move it?? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Example: Invoice total amount : 1530 Dollar
In Word : "One thousand five hundred thirty only." (I think this is call amount in word)
I have a trucking company and sometimes I don’t get the full amount the invoice is for due to fuel charges, how do I put that on the invoice so it don’t say partial payment?

My invoicing will not tally up. That is... If I enter a item... then put in quantity 2 @ 20.00 it wont total it to 40.00... what am I doing wrong

How to get a total on the qty column at the bottom?
Good morning Candus,
My boss purchase a vehicle for the company total amount of $10677.37 however he made a $4500 payment towards that vehicle but he used his personal bank account. Which now I have to reimburse him for that 4500.
My question is how do I enter the purchase of the vehicle in QuickBooks online and reimbursed him for that $4500 without affrcting the purchased total amount?
