Thank you for this video! It's exactly like you said is what happened to me today... Inclined driveway with snow/ice. Hit a large patch and it just broke off. Will be fixing it in the next few days!
inspection you say...i would love to do one of those on my car...is there a manual i can follow with checklists and instructions? like to do things myself instead of dealership.
I see there are multiple walker version of the front catalytic converter ranging from $300 to $900. I’m not worried about emissions as long as it keeps the engine light off. Will the $300 do the job, what’s the difference?
Yes, even a worn out, mike was still working and I replaced because had a metallic noise and man I wish I had done it earlier, my for ster feels like new acceleration improved a lot
Wouldn't it be more cost effective to just replace the rear catalytic converter with a resonator? Since it's unmonitored (no downstream O2 from the front cat). I imagine this would be effective even in states where they do sniffer tests considering how overspecced these subies are with their cats
Is the pipe heading towards the rear of the car 2.5 inches. I’ve got a midpipe I’m wanting to put in and this is the cat I was hoping to get and was want to make sure it fit
I have a check engine light on with a catalytic converter failure. How do I know if it is the front or rear converter that is failing? (2012 Impreza Sport -- 186K miles)
The front one failing can cause the back one to also fail/start failing. It's really case by case. You can tell if the back one is falling apart by listening for any rattling, or just checking when you replace the front one.

I have 2013 impreza hatchback 2.0l would this replacement fit direct? Great video… thanks

Thanks for the videos. I have a 2009 impreza.
Also can you make a video on how you can explain how the AC Expansion Valve and Evaporator works?
I want to fix mine now but we got rain here in Jersey all freaking week

the walker cats seem to fail faster…
Lots of questions from viewers in here.
Why don't you respond to the comments?
On a separate but associated note, are you aware of any problems that arise when the inevitably rattling heat shields are removed?
Just dont park over really dry leaves or high grass :)
Hello Sir I would like to know if you can make a video on how you recharge your AC system and vaccuum out the freon.
can a bad CC cause a loss of power?
Yes. You’ll notice a decrease in MPG and horsepower (especially up hill)
Yes, and it can be very severe loss of power

I did that and my vehicle sound cool and performance is better

You are awsome! Great videos! Thanks again
Broke a stud where the front and rear cat connect. Do I just pound out the broke stud?
I have a check engine light on with a catalytic converter failure. How do I know if it is the front or rear converter that is failing? (2012 Impreza Sport -- 186K miles)
it says bank1 ... most of time the front one is the failure.
Do you have to replace both the front and back cat?
The front one failing can cause the back one to also fail/start failing. It's really case by case. You can tell if the back one is falling apart by listening for any rattling, or just checking when you replace the front one.
Where can you find the correct catalytic converter that's aftermarket?
I ended up visiting the local parts store. I had the old part with me to compare length & diameter.
I'm in the same boat. Did the Walker cat provide a persistent fix? I'm guessing you had the dreaded p0420 code?
This one doesn't give any codes, only the front one
Good to know muchas gracias
careful with the hammer guys. It's not applicable to all bolts. Sometimes the head gets cut off. I sometimes use flame, lube and power tool
Yeah nothing is better than heat maybe a cut off wheel lol :)
That will be 1200 dollars
