- Sis. Inez Andrews sings at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago on 04/24/1988. The world renowned gospel singer of Caravans fame, was introduced by the host pastor, Bishop Arthur M. Brazier during ACOG's Mass Choir concert.
Let us not forget that the apostolic church of god of Chicago was her home church So this is not just any Performance because she is at home
I remember my mom singing this song back in 87-88 when I was just 8 years old. Brings back memories. Inez is killing just like my mom. I appreciate this.

I finally got to ACOG and I loved It!!!!!!!!! I went for the taping of the Joy of Christmas and me and my friends had an awesome time in the Lord.
She made ACOG her home church. Her Homegoing will be held there this Thursday

Inez was baptized in Jesus Name in that same year or late '87. She also insisted on tarrying for the Holy Ghost with all the other candidates directly afterward. Thanks for watching.

Inez is on in a million. She was a member for a very long time at Redeeming Church of Christ, 6920 S Harper Avenue, Chicago, under the pastorate of the late Bishop James L. Anderson until his passing in November of 1984.

"Apostolic Church of God", hence, "Apostolic" should tell one that the church follows the Apostles' doctrine of baptizing in Jesus' name. Apostolic has been baptizing in Jesus' name since its inception, the year 1931. Be Blessed!
By the way...the phrase 'Apostolic Church' predates the 1900's...the phrase goes back to ancient times and was used by the early Church and is still used today.

The Apostolic church follows the teachings of the Apostles. Being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins so that ye shall receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). After water baptizism, you tarry for the precious gift of the Holy Ghost which is evident by speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance (this is all referenced in the book of Acts among several other books in the New Testament).. I would give my theological exposition on baptism in the name of the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit and on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Speaking in tongues...but I won't.
Lord...I know this is going to start something...but I have no real arguement whether a person is baptized in Jesus' name or The Father, Son, & Holy Ghost. However, your statement about tarrying for the Holy Ghost after being baptized in Jesus' name and speaking in toungues is not exactly all the way accurate. You can have the Holy Ghost without speaking in toungues for toungues is only one of 9 gifts of the Spirit and the Holy Ghost gives those gifts as he see's fit (1 Corinthians 12:8-11)!!!!!
