Lol, Guwahati is in the plains of Barak valley. Assam has the most flat terrain in entire north-east. The second is Tripura, but it had mountains extending like fingers into the plains. Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal are the ones with difficult terrain. Majority population lives in valleys, not hills.

Thank you very much for speaking on North East.All these 7 states are jewels of India but because they are so far away from mainland India the people there are neglected.Why does not the government open prestigious colleges of engineering,IT,law etc like AIIMS so that people of North East can get more employment opportunities in cities like Banglore, Chennai, Hyderabad,Pune etc?
Today so many Kashmiri Muslims (with heavy religious mindset)are trying to get into IAS or industries in mainland India which is dangerous.
Instead of Kashmiris if we have engineers,doctors ,lawyers from North East coming to Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai etc then it will be a great justice to the people of North East
I feel development is limited only to south india. Even North India has limited industries and employment opportunities despite larger population concentration in north.. people development is also low. we have to ultimately move to south for job opportunities. It would be great if government focus on northern states as well in terms for human development and infrastructure so more opportunities can be for us asl well. 😊
