there's ash wood down there now, which is pretty nice if you can get it early on

@@xenomorph6807 Probably through some multiplayer-exclusive bug (which I'd guess is the same way he basically became imperceivable). Terraria's multiplayer has a lot of exploits you can do.

To anyone wondering, Spiff most likely used WeMod, since it gives you 100k hp exactly, and gives 10000% increased damage which matches the flare gun dping 23k, as well as him going invisible is a bug that often occurs when using WeMod on multiplayer.

When RT asked Spiff how he got so much health or damage near the end he was going to say: "I found it on the ground!"
I have 810 hours in this game and have done everything it has to offer and watching you all discover the things I'm used to is giving me those feelings from 2013 of finding all the cool stuff. It's like watching an anime for a manga I like. I know what's happening but it's like having the fun all over again.
I wish I could sink as many hours into it. I tried repeatedly. I like the colorful graphics of it.
But being stuck underground most of the time really isn't my cup of tea. I mostly stay on the surface in other games such as Don't Starve Together too. But it's great that other people can enjoy Terraria this intensly. Who needs soulless annual copy & paste AAA trash when we have cute-ish and way deeper indie games such as these? :-)
Maybe I'll try the game again. There is a slight impulse to when I see Dan and the others enoying it like this. But I'm more of a solo player too. Never tried Terraria multiplayer. I wish you could easily drop in and out of dedicated servers like in Don't Starve Together. That would make me feel less stressed and nervous and chained to whoever I would be playing with I guess. :-)

He is probably very intentionally playing bad to humor us, he seems to be doing that in many if not all games. Either that or he is a genuine textbook noob. It's fun to watch and listen to, so no harm. There are enough tryhards and speedrunners for those who prefer that. :-)

I just finished doing a full Calamity expert playthrough with friends so i was excited for this,
then i heard Dan say "set it to mediumcore" and knew this isn't going to last more than one stream LMFAO.
As a Terraria player I suffered watching this
As a Terraria player, I had fun watching it. For about 5 minutes, after that I started to get stressed lol
It's hard to imagine doing so many things wrong. I would never predict that someone would lose their sword and turn a breathing rod into their primary weapon.

I love Terraria and seeing the Chaos among several players is quite fun
Everyone harassing Dan is the equivalent of insulting the healer
Funny since it’s November and due to that, terraria has an increase in pumpkin spawns, and goody bags can drop as well as some other things, and it just make sense for spiff to gain all this stuff from his 1st game due to that
yeah, honestly (if you know what you're doing) this time is probably the best time to start a new terraria world because of how good pumpkin armor is as an early game armor.
@@shadowfire04 yeah, also turkcore is fine, tbh, like to get cornucopia early game so I have basically infinite healing. ( tbh don’t know if turkore is still in the game, or the cornucopia, haven’t played in 6+ years)

Mr. Bigglesworth being a decent Terraria player is giving me life, I love this game and it's so funny to see how hard it is for new players who aren't used to it yet
this is more painful than when a friend of mine who had never played terraria before kept an item (biome key) used to unlock a weapon for our summoner, who is another pal of mine, on himself and told NOBODY until we had spent hours farming for one before asking if any of us had found one
As someone who still fondly remembers the war between 64 Zachs and Eye of Cthulu, this does put a smile on my face. I still hope in vain that the Zachs will eventually make it to Hard mode.

the fact that Dan has been ocansionally playing terraria for years and years, and somehow he still hasn't learned any of the absolute basics of the game is increndible, the entretainiment factor is always there
A year late, but being so terminally online and having played through a lot of modded, watching people who dont have like, an encyclopedic knowledge of this game is extremly entertaining and reminds me of when I wasnt a walking nerd emoji, thanks Dan and crew! :)

I watched this live studying for my final exam ever in highschool the day before (I live in aus so it was the morning for me when rt streamed) and I literally had no idea they were trying to build a shaft
Fun Fact: You can get about 60% of all items without fighting any boss.
And about 75% of those you can get without much effort.
Certain Items, like the Bottomless Honey Bucket, are easiest to obtain before you defeat a boss.
Fun Fact 2: Terraspark Boots only requires you to defeat the Goblin Army, no other event or boss is required. So the shaft to hell might not be so useless after all.
Fun Fact 3: The Revolver is the only item that requires you to break a Crimson Heart/Shadow Orb. You can create Goblin Battle Standards to fight the Goblin Army, you can fish for the Crimson Heart/Shadow Orb drops, and you can make the Worm Food/Bloody Spine to fight the bosses, and you are able to do all of this at the start of the playthrough, too.
