- Update Nov 2023: Are you new to worm composting? Regardless of what worm bin you have, the method is the same except for minor points.
Mine is the Ferme Du Moutta, a tray stacking system. I’ve just published my 15th video featuring The Worm Gang too, to include winter insulation.
I’ve only started a Bokashi bin for food waste so if handling worms isn’t for you, it’s another option.

What I've learnt since recording this video:
1: If worms cling to the sides of the wormery, they are unhappy with their environment.
2: Red peppers are safe for worms.
3: Do not feed worms for the first two weeks until settled in their new home
4: Eggshells are better crushed - provides grit for digestion and helps combat any high protein content
5: Most fruit and veg have a water content of 80% plus but in the early days of not feeding your worms, or if the worms have not begun feeding and therefore broken down foods to release the water, the bedding will be too dry.

Thankyou . Wet or newspaper as a layer on top of the bedding? I have made some errors and just editing video now.
@@poppyspets add it moist. That way it will help not just have nitrogen. The worms need a mixture of both carbon and nitrogen. If you are interested I have many videos about raising worms on my channel. I am always trying to learn new things daily. 🙂
