We also see that Heeseung is trying to get out of this. Another theory is that Heeseung might let the shadow catch him, because he wants to protect his members (Heeseung is the oldest so a big brother). We see our Duo NIKI & SUNGHOON NIKI clearly hypnotized SUNGHOON! Also there is a little "dance" between them two. But actually they are fighting, a dance express us emotions and also telling us a story by the dance moves and for me it looks like they are fighting (moves are fast and hard). The black background I think that's SUNGHOON's mind where he got trapped by NIKI. So SUNGHOON is thinking that NIKI is a bad guy. So he's trying to fight against him by dancing. So the smoke pulling down on Heeseung at the beginning of the MV is basically representing the hardships Kpop idols have to go through. They try their best to pull themselves up and come out of the darkness being new and young, upcoming idols. Well, this is what I think about the black smoke.
