The Bible has the New Testament as well. Where Christ Jesus is our High priest (Hebrews 6,7,8, etc.) And we are not subjected to the OLD Levitical priesthood in sacrifices and atonement. Acts 15 and 21, Colossians chapter 2.

It's speaking of empty philosophy BASED ON HUMAN TRADITION which automatical disqualifies applying it to God's law/Torah=instruction. Many use this in error to do as they please just as Israel was rebuked for. Jeremiah 7:10 ...and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’? I have liberty to eat anything according to col 2:16 and romans 14 and will not be judged by mere men who twist scripture and try put a yoke of legalism on to men . @@Sabbathissaturday I had a rough night but it was not my heart that kept me up. Going through cardiac rehab twice a week now and so far doing good. Been told it did not cause any damage to the heart muscle but due to my COPD I am having problems getting enough oxygen to it for it to work properly. Arteries are clean which is good and I have an appointment to go see a pulmonary specialist in September. Till then I go slow and watch my O2.
Amen to the Quiet place that He leads us to. A place where we see our reflection in the quiet waters. Still waters is the place He is still residing. The place that we can always find Him.
I am healed after suffeting over 25 years,! NO MEDICATION... I was on high doses of heart medication for over 15 years and thyroid medication for over 25 years! When either one of us needs to get into serious prayer or be totally alone with the Lord, we tell the other one. The one not in our prayer room will NOT disturb the other person. A prayer room can be anywhere that you deem as your place to be alone with the Lord. I Love to pray. It wasn’t always this way, but I do miss Him when I’ve gotten busy with life. Remember that He will always be right where you left Him. The Best way that I’ve found to get ready for prayer is to PRAISE and WORSHIP HIM first. Then read a passage from the Bible that He has put on your heart. Start reading Proverbs. Just read one book everyday. After you’ve finished it, start reading it all over again.

Pigs, hogs, swine eat protein. We should not eat protein from an animal that eats protein. That's what makes it unclean. We should only eat meat from animals that eat from the vegetation of the earth.
Hello Jim Staley, I’m from Germany and sorry for my grammatical mistakes 😅 Once in the famous and big church, I believed that the Holy Spirit wanted me to join this church to serve the Lord. I followed the call, applied myself in the worship team and passed the audition. Everything worked well, so I decided to leave the old church, because I had to. It’s not good, to serve in two churches and to not have a spiritual home. Time passed and my leader wanted me to serve on a Sunday evening service. So I prepared the songs and gave my best on the piano. After the service, the leader and a Sanger gave me feedback. This feedback hurt me and I nearly got kicked out of the band. The leaders told me that it is a long way for me to play next time. I would take several months. Now I’ve got some trusting issues, if it was really God’s plan for me. And as you spoke that it concerns someone, I believed that I am the person. Now I try to trust God and to try to hear his voice. Thank you, be blessed, shalom ❤
I am not Jim but I can tell you this, the true Church that God speaks of is in you not some church doctrine created by man. Find your peace and comfort through him and don't worry about what man says. As Jim says we need to trust in Him completely which I admit is some times hard to do. There will be something that you can take from or learn from this experience. Ask Him what that is. And allow Him to turn what may seem like a negative situation into something good. Put it all into His hands through prayer and invite Him to guide your steps. Trust the direction which He leads you, even when it doesn't seem to make sense. When I first read this I understood that the vision God gave to Peter was about receiving all people (Gentiles) who would come to salvation through the blood of Jesus, so I told my pastor who thought he was setting me straight by saying all food is sanctified by faith in Christ and prayer, but though I didn't argue the point weith him. I just simply changed my diet to agree with the book of Leviticus, which I believe is God's plan to protect us. This is Devine wisdom for us if we'll receive it.
I found it pretty easy and was able to quit the unclean foods and have not looked back however I ordered a hamburger the other day and it had bacon on it and I ate it any way and within an hour I was sick till I got it out of my system. Sure tasted good for I have not eaten bacon in a long time but it was not worth being sick.
Praying for your journey to stay in the path. I was raised on a levitical diet. Went to a restaurant and had some soup that the waited said didn't have pork but half through i realized it did. I was sick for a week.

@@Sabbathissaturday My wife stays away from most processed foods and cooks, no microwave warm up meals. We try to eat foods not processed where they add preservatives and salt to it. We pretty much make our own breads and can fresh fruits and vegetables. We do eat a few carbs such as potatoes and on occasion rice, just not large portions. The bread we make is sour dough which is supposed to help the digestive system.

This has been one of the things that the Lord spoke to me about and I’ve been battling with it as far as trying to get my family and friends to understand ….but the bottom line is if He is the same God yesterday, today and forever and he changes not, Why is it that we think we can use the excuse that he came to fulfill the law in order to eat or do what we want to do? He came to fulfill the law he didn’t came to abolish the law. One slight correction regarding Levitical eating laws: we are also not to destroy a man's faith for the sake of food nor for the sake of eating. All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial. If by eating meat, such as pork, we destroy a man's faith that is weak, we sin because we have not loved our brother whose faith is weak. It would be better for us to not eat meat, or pork, ever again for our brother's sake than to cause him to stumble for the sake of eating. But also, do not let a man despise the man who does eat meat nor let a man look down on another man who eats only vegetables. The whole of the law is found in loving God with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul, and all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we transgress this, we are a transgressor of the whole law. But if we transgress, we have an intercessor to intercede on our behalf between us and God, Jesus Christ. And he is merciful to forgive all those who come to him. May the Holy One of God, Jesus Christ, open our eyes to see the lost sheep of the twelve tribes of Israel in dispersion among the Greeks, even in the whole world of the Roman Empire, are made clean by the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. Those who were in that place called not My people, but who are now called Children of the Living God, to whom pertain the covenants, the promises, the adoption, the election through whom Christ came, according to the flesh, for the glory of God the Father. Kosher meat, even beef can become un- kosher, by how it was slaughtered. Same with lamb or mutton or chicken. The Muslim slaughtering is actually paganistic, they pray while slaughtering the animals in their god's name. It's dedicated to their god ... Muslim can eat Jewish cooking ... but Jews cannot eat Muslim cooking. It was already understood, that pork or camel meat was unclean.

Jim I was looking up the scripture and in Exodus 12:22,27 it says pass over not through the house and it also says in 22 Lintel and 2 side posts. So are you saying historically they automatically had a basin by the threshold and it held the blood and it drained into threshold? Where is the scripture about the threshold covenant? The 613 Commandments are an invention of Maimondes/Rambam...the Torah of Yahuah Elohiym is the 10 Commandments....that is the Covenant and also the Renewed Covenant that He writes on the hearts of those who are called out of the beast system.

To me this is a hard one but in case Jim misses you I thought I would try to give you some things to think on based on my own experience. About two weeks after accepting Jesus my wife and I were invited by some friends to come down and worship with them and we accepted. At the end of the message the minister called for those wishing to be baptized, something I was not aware of and something that they don't do on a regular bases unless someone requests it. There was three people, a family that went up to be baptized. When he called if there was anyone else that would like to be baptized it was like someone grabbed me by my belt and shirt collar lifted me up out of my chair only giving me time to take off my boots and I went and took the plunge. Afterword's we went to breakfast with me being wet. There is many thing that can be said and I don't remember all what was said as I went under but it was wonderful. Talk with who you want to baptize you and there are several things that can be found on line.
There are no laws that are only for Jews. The Torah was given to all 12 tribes of Israel (only one of which is Jewish) and then when foreigners/gentiles wanted to serve the God of Israel, they were to follow the dame covenant and be counted as native born Israelites. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. Number 15:15 One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you, an ordinance forever throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. Leviticus 24:22 You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the LORD your God. I definitely need to trust that YHVH will bring my prodigal husband back into the body of believers. I've been praying and fasting for years and it's so hard to not lose hope. But I trust Yah I do. Ik Yah wants my husband back more then I do so it's just in His timing.

This scripture is easy to understand if you biblically define the words, “food” and “sanctified”. Pig for example is not food and never was it or any other unclean animals ever sanctified (set apart) as food for Gods people. This verse is not redefining unclean or clean animals. I believe Paul was addressing the issue of people actually forbidding others to get married and also commanding others abstain from any meats, that is to be vegetarian.

I also wanted to add a comment on verse 4. “Every creature” here will as per the context be only those creatures sanctified (meaning set apart) as food for us. Sanctified from what then should you ask? Well obviously from those other animals that were not created to be food for humans. Also, as the Psalms say - “the law(or word) of God is the truth” just as Messiah who is the Word of God also is the truth.
This was talking about people being told to NOT eat meat...(clean meat, pork was NEVER considered food) so believing the script says.to eat pork is a misunderstanding
To be clear I was fasting and praying DAYS over this. I am NOT telling anyone to eat anything that goes against what the Holy Spirit is telling them. I am simply sharing my experience with this. Acts 15 answers the question of what Jewish restrictions should be observed by new Gentile believers. Not eating pork was not one of the four admonitions. These issues were sidestepped very conveniently, and disappointingly. Since I am not a part to the Covenant made with Israelites (Dt 5), I in no way feel bound by the non-moral aspects of the Law.

Regarding the offerings of Cain and Abel, God expects first fruits. Cain gave his offering “after some time” . This might be a reason for God not accepting Cain’s offering.

It is impossible for there to be a dual meaning. It is also not a parable, but a metaphor and metaphors have single symbolic meaning that they point to. There is nothing in the text that suggest that even Peter thought that it was a dual meaning. As a matter fact, he tells us exactly what it means in verse 28 when he says what the metaphor meant, and it was about gentiles. The only dual meaning that is there is what we read into the text because of what we already believe. For God to be telling Peter in a vision that is extraordinarily symbolic about the Gentiles that he can now eat whatever he wants not only makes no sense to the vision mission that God is giving him, but it would contradict what his son said in Matthew chapter 5 verse 17 through 21 when he says that not one single law will pass away Until heaven and pass away. He says in that passage that anyone that teaches that a single law is passed away with will be released in the kingdom of heaven. This would’ve been a monumental shift and change in the law of God and Peter mentions nothing about it? And there is no further teaching on it anywhere? For a Jew this would be like changing the Sabbath or saying that we can serve other gods. We simply cannot read into the text and stretch it into supporting something that we already believe that is not found in the text.

I love Jim Staley I been listing to him for years on and off and he’s passionate about what he preaches. But am sorry to disappoint all those who are in agreement with Pastor Jim. The law of Moses was giving only to the nation of Israel it was (not) given to the gentiles nations and they new nothing about what animals to eat or the rest of the law. When Peter went and meet with Cornelius and they wanted to hear Peter preach Peter told them about Jesus he didn’t give Cornelius and family a bunch of Jewish laws. Paul was an apostle to the Gentiles and there’s is no restriction on food. I don’t believe being a Christian should be hard we are saved grace and not by the works of the law. Actually, The Bible never uses the word "to'avah" (abomination) for the pig. It uses this word for many other unclean animals, birds and sea creatures, but although the pig is indeed "tamé" (unclean). And if you examine all the Scriptures, you will find that a day does NOT begin when one goes to sleep. It's only controversial because of appetite. Even at first glance, it's obvious that this passage is about the gentile Cornelius, and the commission to take the gospel beyond the house of Israel.

It's speaking of empty philosophy BASED ON HUMAN TRADITION which automatical disqualifies applying it to God's law/Torah=instruction. I have liberty to eat anything according to col 2:16 and romans 14 and will not be judged by mere men who twist scripture and try put a yoke of legalism on to men . @@Sabbathissaturday I had a rough night but it was not my heart that kept me up. Going through cardiac rehab twice a week now and so far doing good. Been told it did not cause any damage to the heart muscle but due to my COPD I am having problems getting enough oxygen to it for it to work properly. Arteries are clean which is good and I have an appointment to go see a pulmonary specialist in September. Till then I go slow and watch my O2.

When either one of us needs to get into serious prayer or be totally alone with the Lord, we tell the other one.

A prayer room can be anywhere that you deem as your place to be alone with the Lord.
I Love to pray. It wasn’t always this way, but I do miss Him when I’ve gotten busy with life.
Remember that He will always be right where you left Him.
The Best way that I’ve found to get ready for prayer is to PRAISE and WORSHIP HIM first.
Then read a passage from the Bible that He has put on your heart.
Start reading Proverbs. Just read one book everyday. After you’ve finished it, start reading it all over again.

Once in the famous and big church, I believed that the Holy Spirit wanted me to join this church to serve the Lord.
I followed the call, applied myself in the worship team and passed the audition.
Everything worked well, so I decided to leave the old church, because I had to. It’s not good, to serve in two churches and to not have a spiritual home.
Time passed and my leader wanted me to serve on a Sunday evening service. So I prepared the songs and gave my best on the piano.
After the service, the leader and a Sanger gave me feedback.
This feedback hurt me and I nearly got kicked out of the band.
The leaders told me that it is a long way for me to play next time. I would take several months.
Now I’ve got some trusting issues, if it was really God’s plan for me.
And as you spoke that it concerns someone, I believed that I am the person. Now I try to trust God and to try to hear his voice.

I am not Jim but I can tell you this, the true Church that God speaks of is in you not some church doctrine created by man. Find your peace and comfort through him and don't worry about what man says. As Jim says we need to trust in Him completely which I admit is some times hard to do. @@michaelpalmer7954 I have studied Paul and Hebrews in a lot of detail and researched the meanings of a lot of the scripture. Perhaps you should to. Hebrews alone took me almost 3 months about one hour a day.
There will be something that you can take from or learn from this experience. Ask Him what that is. And allow Him to turn what may seem like a negative situation into something good. Put it all into His hands through prayer and invite Him to guide your steps. Trust the direction which He leads you, even when it doesn't seem to make sense. Remember, He led the Israelites to the Red Sea, Knowing that they would appear be trapped according to what they saw in the natural. But he had a supernatural plan all along.

When I first read this I understood that the vision God gave to Peter was about receiving all people (Gentiles) who would come to salvation through the blood of Jesus, so I told my pastor who thought he was setting me straight by saying all food is sanctified by faith in Christ and prayer, but though I didn't argue the point weith him. I just simply changed my diet to agree with the book of Leviticus, which I believe is God's plan to protect us. This is Devine wisdom for us if we'll receive it.

I found it pretty easy and was able to quit the unclean foods and have not looked back however I ordered a hamburger the other day and it had bacon on it and I ate it any way and within an hour I was sick till I got it out of my system. Sure tasted good for I have not eaten bacon in a long time but it was not worth being sick.

@@Sabbathissaturday My wife stays away from most processed foods and cooks, no microwave warm up meals. We try to eat foods not processed where they add preservatives and salt to it. We pretty much make our own breads and can fresh fruits and vegetables. We do eat a few carbs such as potatoes and on occasion rice, just not large portions. The bread we make is sour dough which is supposed to help the digestive system.

This has been one of the things that the Lord spoke to me about and I’ve been battling with it as far as trying to get my family and friends to understand ….but the bottom line is if He is the same God yesterday, today and forever and he changes not, Why is it that we think we can use the excuse that he came to fulfill the law in order to eat or do what we want to do?

How is it that we feel that He changed his mind about what the purpose of the pig is for? or unclean animals is for or anything else for that matter? how has the purpose changed🤔 And also why is it OK for me to obey the 10 Commandments (which the majority of Christians are not doing these days, especially honoring the Sabbath) but then it’s OK to do everything else.? There’s so much conflicting and misinformation, and I feel that is very satanic, and it is a weapon that the enemy uses to keep confusion and to keep us doubting, and to keep us worshiping him! anything that’s going to keep us from getting into heaven that’s what he’s going to do! and if it’s not OK to murder, steal kill lie, then it’s not OK to go against his biblical dietary laws‼
my final point would be that at the end of the day Pork is so bad for you! parasites and if you do your research you’ll find that even when you cook it parasites still exist…. It raises your blood pressure and there’s absolutely nothing good about it at all.

One slight correction regarding Levitical eating laws: we are also not to destroy a man's faith for the sake of food nor for the sake of eating.
All things are lawful, but not all things are beneficial.
If by eating meat, such as pork, we destroy a man's faith that is weak, we sin because we have not loved our brother whose faith is weak.
It would be better for us to not eat meat, or pork, ever again for our brother's sake than to cause him to stumble for the sake of eating.
But also, do not let a man despise the man who does eat meat nor let a man look down on another man who eats only vegetables.
The whole of the law is found in loving God with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul, and all our strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
If we transgress this, we are a transgressor of the whole law. But if we transgress, we have an intercessor to intercede on our behalf between us and God, Jesus Christ. And he is merciful to forgive all those who come to him.

Kosher meat, even beef can become un- kosher, by how it was slaughtered. Same with lamb or mutton or chicken.
The Muslim slaughtering is actually paganistic, they pray while slaughtering the animals in their god's name. It's dedicated to their god ... Muslim can eat Jewish cooking ... but Jews cannot eat Muslim cooking.
It was already understood, that pork or camel meat was unclean.

Jim I was looking up the scripture and in Exodus 12:22,27 it says pass over not through the house and it also says in 22 Lintel and 2 side posts. So are you saying historically they automatically had a basin by the threshold and it held the blood and it drained into threshold? Where is the scripture about the threshold covenant? To me this is a hard one but in case Jim misses you I thought I would try to give you some things to think on based on my own experience.
About two weeks after accepting Jesus my wife and I were invited by some friends to come down and worship with them and we accepted. At the end of the message the minister called for those wishing to be baptized, something I was not aware of and something that they don't do on a regular bases unless someone requests it. There was three people, a family that went up to be baptized. When he called if there was anyone else that would like to be baptized it was like someone grabbed me by my belt and shirt collar lifted me up out of my chair only giving me time to take off my boots and I went and took the plunge. Afterword's we went to breakfast with me being wet.
There is many thing that can be said and I don't remember all what was said as I went under but it was wonderful. Talk with who you want to baptize you and there are several things that can be found on line.

There are no laws that are only for Jews. The Torah was given to all 12 tribes of Israel (only one of which is Jewish) and then when foreigners/gentiles wanted to serve the God of Israel, they were to follow the dame covenant and be counted as native born Israelites.
Exodus 12:49 The same law shall apply to both the native and the foreigner who resides among you.
Ezekiel 47:22 You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners residing among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel.
Number 15:15 One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you, an ordinance forever throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

I fasted and prayed over this years ago and this is the scripture GOD highlighted and blurred the rest of the page. This scripture is easy to understand if you biblically define the words, “food” and “sanctified”. Pig for example is not food and never was it or any other unclean animals ever sanctified (set apart) as food for Gods people. This verse is not redefining unclean or clean animals. I believe Paul was addressing the issue of people actually forbidding others to get married and also commanding others abstain from any meats, that is to be vegetarian.
We encourage marriage, and the eating of all food which God created to be eaten. But there are animals which are not food. Rats, snakes, dogs, pigs, etc.

I also wanted to add a comment on verse 4. “Every creature” here will as per the context be only those creatures sanctified (meaning set apart) as food for us. Sanctified from what then should you ask? Well obviously from those other animals that were not created to be food for humans. Also, as the Psalms say - “the law(or word) of God is the truth” just as Messiah who is the Word of God also is the truth.
This was talking about people being told to NOT eat meat...(clean meat, pork was NEVER considered food) so believing the script says.to eat pork is a misunderstanding
To be clear I was fasting and praying DAYS over this. I am NOT telling anyone to eat anything that goes against what the Holy Spirit is telling them. I am simply sharing my experience with this. If you don't want to eat pork...then don't. No one especially me is not trying to make you. Geez. This is how I truly feel... Matthew 15:11 states, "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man". Eat or don't eat whatever the Holy Spirit tells YOU. “God is not schizophrenic.” True, but He does deal with His creation differently during different dispensations. This was never addressed.
Before Noah (Gen 1-5) people ate a vegetarian diet. This is inferred because, when Noah got off the ark (Gen 9), God said to eat anything which crawls upon the face of the earth (Gen 9:3). There were no dietary restrictions of any sort.
In Lev 11, God gives His Chosen People a new list of things to eat - and not eat. This list applied only to the Israelites.
Since I am NOT an Israelite, this list does not apply to me, nor do any of other 613 laws given to the Israelites, because I am outside of that Covenant.
Acts 15 answers the question of what Jewish restrictions should be observed by new Gentile believers. Not eating pork was not one of the four admonitions.
These issues were sidestepped very conveniently, and disappointingly.
Since I am not a part to the Covenant made with Israelites (Dt 5), I in no way feel bound by the non-moral aspects of the Law.

you are one hundred percent correct. I am a practicing Hasidic Jew, if you are not a Jew you do not have to keep laws that are only for Jews. As far as pigs are concerned they will become Kosher when the Jewish Messiah comes.

Regarding the offerings of Cain and Abel, God expects first fruits. Cain gave his offering “after some time” . This might be a reason for God not accepting Cain’s offering.

It is impossible for there to be a dual meaning. It is also not a parable, but a metaphor and metaphors have single symbolic meaning that they point to. There is nothing in the text that suggest that even Peter thought that it was a dual meaning. As a matter fact, he tells us exactly what it means in verse 28 when he says what the metaphor meant, and it was about gentiles. The only dual meaning that is there is what we read into the text because of what we already believe. For God to be telling Peter in a vision that is extraordinarily symbolic about the Gentiles that he can now eat whatever he wants not only makes no sense to the vision mission that God is giving him, but it would contradict what his son said in Matthew chapter 5 verse 17 through 21 when he says that not one single law will pass away Until heaven and pass away. He says in that passage that anyone that teaches that a single law is passed away with will be released in the kingdom of heaven. This would’ve been a monumental shift and change in the law of God and Peter mentions nothing about it? And there is no further teaching on it anywhere? For a Jew this would be like changing the Sabbath or saying that we can serve other gods. We simply cannot read into the text and stretch it into supporting something that we already believe that is not found in the text.

Because the kingdom of God is not about food. It is about righteousness in the Holy Spirit. In regard to sin, Paul says, 'Whatever does not proceed from faith, is sin', Romans 14:23. It is about faith. Always was. And always will be.
The saints under the covenant of Moses expressed their faith through obedience to the law.
The saints in the new covenant express their faith through obedience to the Holy Spirit. This is how we keep a clear conscience and fellowship with God.

I love Jim Staley I been listing to him for years on and off and he’s passionate about what he preaches. But am sorry to disappoint all those who are in agreement with Pastor Jim. The law of Moses was giving only to the nation of Israel it was (not) given to the gentiles nations and they new nothing about what animals to eat or the rest of the law. When Peter went and meet with Cornelius and they wanted to hear Peter preach Peter told them about Jesus he didn’t give Cornelius and family a bunch of Jewish laws. Paul was an apostle to the Gentiles and there’s is no restriction on food. I don’t believe being a Christian should be hard we are saved grace and not by the works of the law. If you believe nothing can take that away. We all struggle in this world some have it easy and some have it hard. So don’t look over your should and say wow he prays 3 times a day and give 20% I wish I can be like him. No. Don’t let anyone put a guilt on you. Just love God with all your heart and do the best as you can do with what you have and make a difference. I love you all in the name above all names my Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Actually, The Bible never uses the word "to'avah" (abomination) for the pig. It uses this word for many other unclean animals, birds and sea creatures, but although the pig is indeed "tamé" (unclean).
And if you examine all the Scriptures, you will find that a day does NOT begin when one goes to sleep.
A day begins at dawn (morning) according to Genesis, where the days and week are defined, along with 30+ very clear narratives that define a day beginning when the sun rises.

I don't believe it is. In both acts 2 and acts 11, we see the Holy Spirit fall upon believers without the laying on of hands.

We fully support marriage, and eating all foods, including meat. But unclean animals are not food.

If you decide to abstain, that's your personal decision, but don't teach others and say God said so, because then you're lying about God's word and teaching doctrines of demons

It's only controversial because of appetite. Even at first glance, it's obvious that this passage is about the gentile Cornelius, and the commission to take the gospel beyond the house of Israel.
Financial difficulties. Sometimes difficult to trust YHVH in this area.
