I have that iron napkin holder that says 'no matter where I serve my guests, it seems they like my kitchen best'. How cool. I grew up with it and I still have it.
Totally agree on the price tags.
Many times I've walked away because an item isn't priced.
It makes you feel as if they are making it up based on their perception of what you can afford

One thing I learned early on, is that it’s only worth what somebody is willing to pay. Too many pieces are terribly overpriced. I would not shop there. I like a bargain too much and I’m willing to dig for it. I love to go to Goodwill, the Goodwill bins, and the flea markets , I live in Central Texas, so I’m so close to Canton trade days which is helded once a month in Canton, Texas! If you ever get the opportunity to go, you will love it!

I’m the same. Love, love, love the hunt and digging for treasure, it’s my life. It’s a good thing there are people out there who aren’t willing to dig for anything 😊. They like the convenience of just scrolling and buying. I’m frugal, buy for 1.00 or so, enjoy it, then offer it to another person to enjoy ☺️

That milk bucket was a part of a tiny family of kitties. I had that exact set as a child. I’m 67. So it’s been a long time but I always liked those figurines.

Our vintage markets are so predictable compared to this one. Of course my personal choice is the art glass.

You made a great point about price tags! Some sellers really enjoy wheeling and dealing with customers, but I have social anxiety and agoraphobia, it's already a struggle to get me to the shop, if I have to ask questions? Nah. Also, the horror of asking for a price and then feeling "cheap" when you put it back, puts my teeth on edge just thinking about it.
I have the same disorder plus other issues. I feel exactly the same. If you want to sell it then price it for Pete’s sake.

What’s fun is I am seeing some pieces that I have picked up at thrift stores even 40 years ago. Sometimes the value is more, or less but always fascinating! I know you’ll have fun with your creative adventures! It’s always fun and exciting to pick up things along the way to make projects, that maybe turn into creative gifts you can make for others, family friends and displays for the Good Stuff Store!

I used to pick up blue birds of happiness when I would go from Texas to Illinois to take them to my mom. She would give them to everyone to including friends, doctors nurses, her minister and strangers. I found real bargains for her at the Chicago Cutlery. They had them for $1 each, so I bought them out and at a dollar store in Tulsa that was going out of business for 25 cents. Those included amber and red. Mom didn't care if they were signed. At mom's funeral we asked jowls many people got bluebirds from her and about every woman raised her hand. The minister said she received two from mom. When she told mom she already had one mom told her there are little birds and big birds. I miss looking for birds for mom. I did buy one for myself because mom never gave me one. She felt other people needed it more than me. I have so much stuff that was precious to her and she only had 4 granddaughters to share this with. No point to give stuff to ny sister since she and I are old enough to start sharing with the next generation. It's bittersweet.

@Karen McNeill My mom was the most generous person my sister and I ever knew. She grew up during the Depression with little to call her own. She didn't want anyone else to feel that way and was constantly helping people, often anonymously. We try to keep the tradition alive, and so do our daughters. We even passed out parting gifts at her funeral. She would have loved it.

The little squirrels were so cute. Good memories. My grandmother had them on a tree in the backyard when I was little till I was about 16 or so, when they moved. I don't know what happened to them.

I have tried but I can't have things on my neck - old injury
That’s for sure when your neck hurts you don’t want nothing on it. I can’t even wear a coat because of the pressure on my neck but I will wear something more lightweight or a sweatshirt, but not a coat too heavy. I have even put somethings on backwards when I’m at home just so it won’t be on my neck

The silver spoon with the fruit in the bowl is a “berry” spoon…..from the era when there was a separate utensil for everything.
Lol😅😂 my mom used to get mad at us kids for taking her grapes out of the fruit bowl. They were fake and rubbery like ..chewing gum.. I remember thinking they were ...gum...😂❤❤❤rip mom

I always hope that when I go into an antique or vintage, that it's only those 2 things and not things made to look old. Loved those wood candleholders. That orange vase looks just like the 2 that I have which are Bormioli with their Italy labels. Was everything you showed in the garage that we didn't see as you shopped, from the same dealer?
one of those birds nest on a branch would make a lovely bold statement piece as a pin. i would wear it.
You could get a glass top with a rubber bumper on each corner so the glass doesn't touch the that stunning table.
