Hi Angie so I have made 3 different videos on the Gamo CFX and have had several chats with Rick and a few others over this very frustrating poorly made AIr rifle. I was really excited at first that Gamo had re released this air rifle but that was short lived. And I can Tell you first cleaning the Barrel will not help with the CFX because when I just ran a couple dry patches through mine it then went to total crap and never recovered. When I first got this air rifle I shot it for almost a week open sites and it was doing great So I made my first video on the CFX. decided to put a scope on it ran 2 dry patches through it just to clean it out a little since I did not do that at first. and then after that it shot all over the place and could not ever get it to shoot a consistant group again. I tested 7 different pellets in it and 2 of them at first did fine and then they didn't THe CFX is the most inconsistant shooting air rifle I have ever shot. I shot one group at 25yds all in the same hole th next group looked like I was shooting a shotgun with bird shot. But rather then me talking about all the issues I have found with this gun and I have talked to several other people like Gmann and we are all having the same issues I have come to the conclusion that this is a very poorly designed air rifle that either needs to go back to the drawing board or Gamo needs to stop making it. I would love for you to if you get a chance to watch all 3 of my videos on the CFX so you can see how it started out and then see were it ended up and how bad it tanked in less then 2 weeks, And ya my seals went out and started leaking with in 4 or 5 days on a brand new CFX. Anyway I had high hope for this Air rifle now it s just taking up space in one of my gun cabinets and is a giant paper weight. I do hope you go watch my videos on tis Air rifle as I did learn a whole lot about all the issues with it. As always though I do enjoy your channel and all the effort you put into it.
Poor engineering design, CFX,CFR, and gamo accu .. Have the gamo accu .177 &.22, have made plenty of videos disassembly and the issues...Best to just move on , a correctly engineered under lever is designed like my HW97K or a TX200 and worth every penny...
@@airgunnersedge4061 Yep I could not agree more with you on that. I own the HW97K and the Tx200 carbine and the HW77k as well and they are all worth every penny but every now and then I try and give a budget gun a chance and this one failed miserably.
Man Gamo shoot hard, Ect, But I haven't seen any that are really accurate. Hole in Hole, at 35 to 50 yards. Hatsan. On the other hand, are just amazing. I enjoy your videos.
Gamo has some great Airguns and I have gotten hole in hole accuracy with several of them. but a lot of the shooting depends on the consistency of the shooter.
Thanks for the testing. The FPS went up and down for me too. After returning it, Gamo said they replaced the spring and the seal. Still inconsistent and accuracy in no better than 2" at 25 yards. What distance were you shooting? Your target said 50 yards?
Hey Gmann I have done 3 full videos on the Gamo CFX And You and many others myself included have had a lot of the same issues. I would recommend you watch all 3 of my videos on the CFX so you can see how ell it first shot when I got it and then within a week it tanks seals are one of the many things that crapped out. THe CFX is very badly designed and either needs to go back to the drawing board or they need to stop making it. And Just FYI mine was shooting all over the place as well and would not shoot any decent groups with any consistancy as well. BUt wathc my videos as they explain and show a whole lot. Just thought you might like another perspective with some one that has spent a good bit of time shooting the CFX.
@@BravoBassin Thanks I've been reading about poor QC with this new CFX. What a shame the BSA Super Star, Polaris and Stutzen were all fine underlevers with great accuracy. It's a shame this new CFX is getting only 2" groups at 25 yards from most users. Maybe JTS have made a better model with their New Stonewolf multi-shot model?
@@gmanneod8085 Ya I have talked to several people that onw this new CFX and everyone seems to be having a lot of the same issues. ANd 2 inch groups at 25yds is crap in my opinion and not viable at all for any type of hunting. If you watched all 3 of my videos you will see that one group will be hole in hole and then the nex is like shooting a shotgun with bird shot. Zero consitancy at all with the CFX. I had high hope for it but that went south real fast. I do plan on getting the JTS and hopefully it will be a decent air rifle. For me a good budget air rifle should be able to shoot a 1inch group or at least 4 out of 5 in a 1 inch group with maybe 1 flyer just out side but 2 ihc groups are un exceptable at that range. Anyway I hope if you watched the videos it heled answer some more of your questions Even Rick from airgun web told me the CFX is only a 10 to 15yd gun for accuracy anything past that is no good. Ya I would not waste anymore of your time with the CFX I know I won't it is a paper weight for me now.
One of the best springers is the AA TX200SR, pretty insane really & at 30yds it's one hole, 50yds ½". I was lucky to be given one from the wife of my friend who very sadly passed away. Love watching all your content ❤
Yes it's terrible for a springer, even the last group.. You where probably not pulling, it's jus a crap rifle you don't want to own. I'm not going to explain again and again why but there are enough YT vids. with disappointed buyers. Cheers!

Good shooter for a springer
Good video 👍💯
Sounds just like my Gamo Varmint... a weird synthetic twang haha
But it shoots decent tho
Shim it, lol.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Doesn't seem to be worth it it seems to shoot good but maybe one day haha
@@LowkeyAirgunner It's just a fun project, sort of lol.
You look cute in the farmer bib's !
My CFR .177 has a poor trigger, but will one-hole at 25 yrds. Nothing further.
Springers are super hold sensitive around the trigger
That was a weird jump in fps 🤷
Not that weird.
It was grease getting dislodged and combusting.
