What did you guys think of Pinocchio? What is the biggest difference you spotted? 👀
1:43 Police has no right or authority to interfere in a parent punishing their son when this latter misbehaves! Plus, Pinocchio was the only boy Honest John and Gideon collected for the Coachman in the original classic. And how can you say Pinocchio is 8 y. o. if he's a wooden puppet literally born yesterday?!
@@dandycrow2821 Corporal Punishment is illegal in Italy so technically they do have the right!
@@SLUURPTV Dude, I'm Italian myself, don't treat me like an idiot! It may be illegal in schools, but spanking from parents when children misbehave is PERFECTLY LEGAL and in some cases even necessary! That's the way I and my sister were educated and that's the way my father and mother were! Plus, THE STORY IS SET IN 1800s' ITALY, so your response is even more stupid speaking of historical context! This is literal historical revisionism, and revisionism of another culture, so that's even worse! Don't you dare tell us or even CHANGE our history, our culture, our laws and how we educate our children, f-ing ignorant American imperialist and virtue-signalling snowflake! You know NOTHING about us! Don't you dare, you have no right, imperialist! Like this film (the "live-action" (DIS)adaptation of Uncle Walt's adaptation of our Collodi's story) wasn't insulting enough to our culture and folklore! 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
I detest it because Pinocchio is a story about growing up, and by that a story about transformation from a no string, no attachement careless, puppet in to a grown men with its manly virtues. This is clear in the book, and in it we can read that this process is brutal as this is what it takes to teach, and taime the rascal-devilish-mindless-heartless-child-Pinocchio. Whithout that we will turn to stupid donkeys in the "Land of Toys" or The Plesure Island (or the "safe space" xd). But this "new" Pinocchio is abnout this new PC culture where people don't really grow up these days. The soft movie is just a picture of it's soft times. And soft men create hard times wchich creates hard men who create good times that creates soft men and so on. To be hounest after the book even the Disney 1940 version of movie is a washed-down story for the safe and stupid (not that I didn't liked it as a child). I read a lot of comments of peaople offended about the 2022 version spoiling their "Plesure Island Experience" but hey, the world needs it's donkeys right?
Another difference is in the 1940 flim, in the Pleasure Island scene there's only boys in the theme park and now in the remake they include girls along with the boys and that's a good difference between the two movies
I think they made Pleasure Island scene less scary because of parents commenting in how that scene traumatized their kids, or wanted to make it more child friendly.
While missing the point.
@@Drixenol86 i can imagine, lile when someone sees a friend or relative die in front of theor eyes
Yes but that’s all the more reason that the people who say it’s a kid’s film are incorrect.
By removing these scenes, you completely miss the point of these scenes and what the film is trying to tell us.
@@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343 To teach disobedient kid?
@@Lovethehumans To show what it means to be a good person and that bad things happen if you make bad decisions. Your decisions have consequences.
I started rewatching Pinocchio (1940) and I think it might actually be the most detailed 2D Disney feature movie-I never realized this before but it’s insanely good animation.
It really does make you feel like the same lovable version of our favorite puppet from 1940 has come back in live action to give us another adventure.
Can I just say that Luke Evans blew the hell out of his role out as the coachman. I loved how he portrayed the coachman, especially how he treated his new song all about pleasure island. Despite being a villain, Luke Evans made the coachman my favorite character in the movie.
He was so in character, I didn’t even realize it was him until the moment when the boys are in the boat ride and the coachman pops up and then goes under the floorboard or whatever that was and I was like “Wait, Luke Evans???” I laughed. He was really good!
He also has almost the exact same speech pattern as the Coachman’s original actor.
Fun fact: The Coachman is the second Disney villain Luke Evans portrayed since Gaston from the live action Beauty And The Beast.
Who should he be cast as next to finish the Luke Evans villain trilogy?
@@SLUURPTV maybe he could play hades 🤔
@@SLUURPTV Captain Hook or the hunter from Tarzan
What about Ratigan?
I'll be honest here; I haven't seen the movie, but one of the few if not many nitpicks I have with this movie is that the Coachman in this live action adaptation will never match up to the 1940's original.
I get the 1940's Pinocchio Coachman was infamous for being one of the scariest and most cold-heartedly heinous villains in a Disney movie, but that was the whole point of making him a villain. He's supposed to be scary and dark, even if it meant scarring the viewer for life.
So I stayed up til 3am here on the east coast to watch it hahaha! I finished it in the morning when I woke up. The ending did left me a bit baffled but then I did some quick UA-cam research and found out that the ending in this film was the alternative ending to the original 1940 Pinocchio film. This definitely made more sense after watching that video where they show the storyboard animation. I honestly enjoyed the film. Pinocchio is one of my favorites and will always be no matter what. Great video btw 👍
Yeah we enjoyed it too! It’s getting way too much criticism!
@@SLUURPTV way too much. More than it needs too honestly. But hey, those so called "reviewers" need their likes up and bost those subscribers somehow lol
These live actions remakes will never stop
Your right
I really wish they still had give a little whistle for one of the songs
Unfortunately the message of this song wouldn't have applied much in the remake, because Pinocchio never has any crises of conscience, he just goes along with whatever is suggested to him. Not much of a character arc for ol' Pinoch in 2022.
Monstro’s remake design reminded me of SIN from Final Fantasy X
Here's a fun fact it's Pinocchio not Panakyo
Right!? Lol, is this guy purposefully mispronouncing it to be different or something? It’s cringy and I don’t even want to watch the rest of the video now.
Lol it’s like he couldn’t decide which was right so he switched pronunciations every other time
There are times in the “ending” section where it switches back & forth. WTF? Is this another AI-generated voice?
So far this has been the only live action Disney remake I've been able to watch completely
I didn't realize this when watching it yesterday, but the magic tear is a nice nod to Tangled as well. I definitely enjoyed the clock cameos though.
I almost broke my desk when I didn’t see the scene with Pinocchio smoking a cigar
you know they ain't gonna allow
that in this day an age.
I can't wait for this movie in a few minutes!
Ah yes, my favorite Disney character Pin-aw-cchio
I kept hearing "Pi-knock-eeoh"
I cringe every time he says it
But he goes back and forth between both pronumciatiosn sometimes every other sentence. Lol I think he's doing it purposely
Definitely seems intentional to be different/quirky and it just comes off as cringe. Couldn’t watch more than two minutes. Disliked and moved on.
I actually rewatched the donkey round up scene, because I did not remember the smoke minions from Pleasure Island
"Pin-KNOCK-io?!?" 😂😂😂
The subtle suggestion that they both may have died at the end, with the strange blue light, and the 'Just follow the light' but.
Awesome 😎👍👍
That Good Movie Fro real
Why does NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS MOVIE? THE ANIMATION THR CGI IS SOOOO GOOOD!!! IT DESERVES A LOT OF ATTENTION
A lot of people talk about this movie, but admittedly, not in the best light. For me and a lot of other people, the CGI makes characters look out of place and when carried, it makes them look as light as a feather. And people just don’t like live actions remake. I think it could be a lot worse though, it’s just not my style of movie.
I kept repeating “this is horrible”, because the Pinocchio remake is!
i love beautiful videos like this
I love how they made the adorable puppet look the same as in the original.
I thought it wasn't that good. But I didn't like how it ended
Was an acceptable final, but could be better for sure
"...the 1940 hit, Pinocchio"
Actually, Pinocchio bombed at the box office. It wasn't until re-releases that it made its money back.
2022 Pinocchio Good
Pin..AH..cchio. Holy fuck that was difficult to watch
I couldn’t last two minutes lol
In spite of the bad reviews I feel like this has the potential to become a Cult Classic family film similar to the live action remake of 101 Dalmatians from 1996 or Casper from 1995.
I'm convinced that he's saying Pinocchio wrong on purpose because he says it correctly two times in a row at 6:28
Dude you pronounced Pinocchio the right way once and the wrong way many other times. If you’re not familiar with it ask somebody. Don’t just wing it.
I didn't see pinocchio yet but these are big differences!
They certainly are!
The major difference is that one sucks and the other one doesn’t. 😂
Differents of Disney Pinocchio 1940 & 2022
I swear the original one has cameos as well. For back then there was Silly Symphony cameos. I might be wrong. So if i am I stand corrected lol
Pinocchio was the name of the village it was set in it apparently sometime in the past
Carlo Collodi
The original author gave a reason for the name in the book.
After being gifted a magical piece of wood from his friend, Mastro Ciliegia 🍒, Geppetto decides to name his puppet like a family. A family of Pinocchio. He calls his puppet like that because of the pointed, sharp long nose.
@@davidprogamer2703 yes I know that is the book reason but he doesn't necessarily mean it is the outside the book version The fact that the village was called Pinocchio must have been where the name come from originally and what the meaning of the word Pinocchio means might have actually been the reason the town was named that not the puppet but it was applied to the puppet in the book
@@davidprogamer2703 I don't know what family of Pinocchio's are I just know the meaning of the word Pinocchio and the Italian village was originally named Pinocchio
Pinocchio,in 1940 vs 2022 when he was in the cage about that the 1940 blue fairy came back twice to make him alive and open the cage and in 2022 the blue fairy only came once to made him alive
This live version ending was the original alternative ending but Zemeckis did a bad job executing . I didn't even know Pinnochio turned to a real boy till I rewind and watched the scene again.
Tom Hanks to fat to be in this.
i liked the live action version
I love how they made the fairy black 😃😇
It’s okay I saw it last night on Disney +
Ahh yes I do love pinnnahkio
0:30 Did he say Pin - aw - kio ?!?!?!
Your inconsistency with how you say Pinocchio is driving my OCD insane.
Top 10
These movies such as the Live action Pinocchio came out on the day that Queen Elizabeth ll passed away. Rest In Peace. 😭😭😭
Speaking of the mosasaurus who would win monstro from 2022 or the mosasaurus from Jurassic world dominion
Book is best. It's very different & terrifying
Forgot one thing… the shadow creatures on Pinocchio intertwined with Hercules
You know the biggest different between Pinocchio 1940 and Pinocchio 2022. One is good and the other isn't.
1940 film: Timeless classic. 2022 film: Woke crap.
Out of curiosity, why do you think it’s woke?
No actual woke stuff in it. At least from what I have seen.
@@SLUURPTV Pleasure Island… that’s all I found. At least they didn’t change the Jackass scene
Not woke crap. Just crap.
memorise this in stone, because it's true.
"Pin - OK - io"
I have seen the movie on Disney plus
What I liked better about the 2022 version is that Pinocchio develops his own conscience and learns to think for himself. He's not just a mindless idiot like the 1940 counterpart who does something because everyone else is doing it.
"Pinknockio"
Remember kids rootbear is bad drink Beer and smoke instead it won’t hurt you
-Live action Disney remake
Your pronounciation of Pinocchio and Geppetto really sucks.... Remember it's Italian not english.
You continued to Say P'nokeeou and J'pedou several time. Vowels are not silent in italian.
Remember the pink elephants 😨😵💫
I'm pretty sure I saw it my whole life 2 days
Did you you know pinnochio has 2 os in it
i honestly dont understand the criticism for this movie. i honestly enjoyed it and the ending made more sense and i loved how they showed that even though pinocchio doesn't change, on the inside he was always been a real boy and i loved that. also the pleasure island, i really really enjoyed and the hi-deedle-dee song too HAHAHAAHAA
The Pleasure Island changes remind me of when they didn't make Dumbo drunk for the Pink Elephant scene of that remake, it kind of annoys me because it feels like they're playing to a soft audience
Like, let's still pretend none of that happend lol
You mean snowflakes and neo-puritans?
Fun fact, in the book Pinocchio there Is no "pleasure Island" but a "Paese dei balocchi" meaning simply "Toys' Town".
@@Luca_Schiano Toyland or Land of Toys.
@@dandycrow2821 i read in the Cartoon "pleasure Island". "Balocco" Is a Florentine archaic Word for "Toy", in modern Italian it's "Giocattolo".
By the way i read the book in its original languange. The story looks pretty weird. Someone supposed there Is a hidden esoterical or masonic meaning.
It’s fair that they changed up the blue fairy.. it shouldn’t give anyone a problem
I wondered who copied who Ms Mojo or SLUURP.
What about the cigars and beer
Bro just said “pinaacio” 😂
😂😂😂😂
you said Pinocchio's name wrong
Give Pinocchio a new design
What, and make him a humanly realistic abomination like Movie Sonic's original design?
@@gabe_gamer9320 Yes
@@nikolajschiermer9234 Now I know you're just wasting your life trolling on the internet.
Uhh... no, monstro was actually a sea monster in the book
Pienacchio 💀
The big difference is that the 1940’s one was great and the 2022 one was… the 2022 one.
They changed the new one cuz to make it less scary for kids and more friendly but no friend friend just friend cuz you know a few things but not all
What’s pnacyo
Pinaccio
ohh cool another disney+
Why does he pronounce it as Pin ah cchio most of the time and only every once in awhile pronounce it Pin oh cchio?
I loved the remake but Monstro totally looked bad.
I understood that the ending meant that we should accept people for who they are, whether they are made of flesh or wood. It's a bold and brave ending, but I think which radical and traditional fans will hate it (just see most of the reviews).
Fun fact, that ending for live-action pinocchio was originally supposed to end from pinocchio 1940 but scrapped.
He does sort of change into a real boy if you look carefully at the end The lines on his legs disappear so this ending appeases both directions at the same time
I think Disney provided a weaker message of accepting people for who they are regardless of appearance, when they could have gone with a more powerful message of people changing their outward appearance or altering their bodies to match and represent how they feel on the inside, to be who they really are inside and out.
@@35Spidey I think it's funny how the message has been changed altogether the original book actually sends a totally different message I think it more about not being lazy and grafting It's part of the reason why geppetto is the one that dies so Pinocchio can work to save him Which is a bit of a contradiction to the puppet show because he was working there
Pee Knock Eeo.
and the h in honest is silent
Pinacchio, What.... 😕
It was nice and there were some additions made that were okay, too, but I think they shouldn't have changed the main part of things and had him die like in the original version. They did not show the donkeys making the sounds of kids for Jimney Cricket to find out about. They did well with Stromboli and with Pleasure Island, though, but it was with beer and tobacco originally. Also, they should've had the fairy appear at Stromboli's wagon and in the end. I believe if they had stuck to the original script they would've done fine. It is not good to stray from originality. Too many remakes of thinks and changing of what originally was. They change actors too much. Look how many Batmen, Supermen, James Bonds, Hulks, Spider-men, now we have. Who is the real deal? Also, I just wish they would ask God for help then thinking they'll just solve it themselves, you know? Ask their Creator for help at times. That's my opinion on it. Thanks for sharing! God bless you!

You forgot Snow White and the seven dwarfs.
You miss pronounced the name it’s pi•now·kee·ow
Most people’s comments and complaints are too serious this is a child’s film ffs. If you saw this version first then the 1940’s your mind would be for the one you grew up with people seem to forget these films aren’t for us but for the people to come can’t you just be happy that someone has kept and brought the character into 21st century in a way nothing else really has
Know that I've seen the changes I can safely say that I hate the 2022 remake of Pinocchio and it could have been done better if it was closer in plot to the original.
Fun fact: Its Pinocchio not Panakio
Who needs a "real-life" setting for the fantasy classic: "Pinocchio?"
Aside from the money, I cannot understand Tom Hanks taking part in this low-grade realization!
"Pinocchio" is fantasy and Disney "closed the book" on their realization!
Literally can’t finish this video because you get the name wrong then right then wrong again🤬
Same
I think live action Pinocchio should be called Pinocchio 2
But it’s basically the same. All that changed is a tiny bit of things and it’s real life also.
The fact that they changed the beer to root beer tells me everything I need to know about this movie .
Why did this guys say pinachio
This adaptation was the biggest disappointment in terms of a Disney live action since the Lion King.
Nearly everything about it is wrong on some level or completely misses the point.
it's pi-no-ki-o not pi-nok-io
Why do you say Pinnockio? It’s Pinocchio.
"bullying and social media"
that said it all for me and now i know why i hated the film with a passion....
Pinockio
Panacchio?
How did you manage to mess that up?
