I’ve been waiting on a video like this since I heard Taylor was re-recording her albums!! More artists should study from Prince and honestly I wish there was more of a movement to go back to CDs and records (not just for aesthetic purposes lol) the fact artists have to solely rely on touring so crazy because that has to be extremely exhausting
Not to mention how much his image continues to be used for profit by these labels despite him expressing not wanting to be paraded posthumously. Such a great and informative video!
This is why he’s one of my favorite musicians ever his innovative approach to selling his music and how to navigate his ways as a indie artists to make money as a someone who’s an aspiring musician wants to take the indie route and make generational money with my music/art
There is a video with MJ exposing Sony and how they work their artists half to death. Micheal was tired of touring and wanted to retire and announced he had only one more year on his contract. Sony also wanted MJ catalogue of music and he wouldn't sell it. MJ's contract said that they would get all of the catalogue if he died.
And even after his death, the machine carries on, forcing a hologram of his likeness to tour on. I'd hate to think what Prince would have to say about it.
Aww this one was really good and understanding and this topic is still very relevant and important today! I also cried because prince is my favorite artist and some of the clips were more than I can bare. I absolutely appreciate this video!
Please do your next video on 2pac’s classic album me against the world 1995 because his most accomplished and important by capturing just how suffocated he felt at every level of American life he created a damming indictment of the country that hated him back but it was when he found the sound and voice that we remember him for, when he transformed gangsta rap into a vehicle of the blues, and when he ascended to cultural omnipresence.
Wow great video also talking about the master recording part where he could get paid by samples and recording on radio I never new about also as good as Prince slave trade where they some how forgot important part.
Okay this makes perfect sense as to why labels are able to produce a deceased artists “unreleased” music and albums. My example is Pop Smoke, he died 3 or 4yrs ago and it really made me wonder who’s profiting off this music bc he he’s no longer alive………I don’t think it’s the family 😬 can you do a video on the what happens when the artist dies?
Prince’s symbol resembles the astrological sign for Pluto.
Pluto is all about transformation & resurrection
it’s actually a combination of venus and mars symbols. feminine and masculine energy in unison

Andri Cruz wish he would have put things in paper what his family members have done and allowed to happen is the absolutely crazy.
