Also the lead actor ranbir kapoor is not deaf, he is normal, but its his wonderful acting that is so believable that it just blew everybody away. Hands down one of the best movie of Indian cinema.

Funny you should mention the screenplay, the actor who played barfi has mentioned in an interview that the director Anurag Basu actually had no screen play for most of the movie if not all. He said they knew the story but they weren’t given a screen play and the director would improvise scenes..it’s one of the reasons why it turned out so good I guess, but yeah barfi is my favorite movie too!
U have to see tumbbad it's beyond horror. No cliche ghosts or sprits but still spine chilling. And great cinematography in very less budget. Please check it.

You guys should watch Padmavat next. It’s a story of a woman who commits Jauhar (suicide to prevent sexual assault) along with the women of her entire kingdom. It’s incredibly visually appealing. Other similar movies are Bajirao Mastani and Manikarnika.
