I look up to you so much Jeff. You are a fantastic person and I love your music. You were the first person I ever really got into and you have helped me go through so many things. You are a true inspiration and just a great person. Thank you so much for your music and being a great person!
okay but who wants a full version of the jingle that plays at the start and end of the video, because it'd be the perfect song to play during christmas
Performing with a mask on is like swinging the bat with the weight on it. When you get to take it off, it’s gonna feel so easy! Love seeing the new songs live!!
eating some leftover curry while watching this, life is good rn. also kinda cool that we didn't have to pay to watch this live but that we still have the option to support Jeff and the crew 7 months later. cheers everyone
That's what I do too. That big 'bedroom tone' typically gets lost in the mix with a full band. Drop the highs/lows and boost the mids to cut through more.
um, i feel like i never said that because i absolutely do not do that. or if i said it, i guess it was a weird joke? when mixing i treat it case by case, definitely boost the highs, try to cut the mud out of the low/low-mids, the 3k is the harsh spot according to the wise jack shirley so i bring some of that down as well. fyi i didn't mix this, jack did. on my amp itself, i usually have the gain juuuust about breaking up all the eq knobs straight down the middle and my tone is a result of which pickup position i'm using (neck or bridge) and how hard I am playing. then i use a wampler deluxe pinnacle pedal 'cause it's the easiest way to make the guitar feedback instantaneously and it also sounds like shit's on fire. on recordings i'll usually have a few nasty pedals in a row and use whatever combo sounds the most brutal (aka the worst) in here trying to learn my own songs for tour! have a nice day everyone! -- jeff
@@jeffrosenstock If you want some "brutal" in that sense, have you tried the old Boss Hyperfuzz FZ2? I spent hours in a guitar shop years ago trying to find the perfect weird distortion pedal, I went through a whole mess of them and nothing spoke to me then one guy brought out the FZ2 and was like "this thing kinda doesn't sound all that good" and I fell in love on the first strum.
The only endgame for capitalism is dystopia! You guys rock, great show all around even if Jeff couldn't figure out his riffs. That was cute and endearing. Love Kevin's mask, as soon as the show started I was like "Not gonna be the same without his grimace as he beat the shit out of the drums..."

It's the bass player's world, we're just living in it
His name is John

Dude same he's the first I ever really followed. And got me into ska w/ asob changed my music taste forever
Hate to break it to you, guys, but Slipknot already did the "mask" thing
This Is Serious Mum
Mr bungle did it first!!!
Right down to Jeff channeling the clown at the beginning of state line
It think it was like a global pandemic or something
Who cares who did it first. Jeff is the man, back off his nuts
I seriously have tears in my eyes right now, both from laughing so hard and all the feels i'm feeling. This made my year.
Getting new Jeff this year made all the difference. I’m so glad we all got this.
Stop marketing to me jeff you know I will buy another shirt for this album I am a weak man
25:39 When you discover your Dad's Dead Kennedy's record while flipping through your Mom's Weezer collection.
The guitarist sounds kinda like Daron from System of a Down when screaming, too
Absolutely loved listening to a live version of pash rash
"Jeff's Up Next" - Rozwell Kid
Jeff has been up!
Jeff has been up since like 2016 dude
Fuck yes. I found Jeff maybe 6 months ago and haven’t found music I love this much since I was a kid. Love hearing the new album live!!
WHO'S WATCHING IT AGAIN!!!!???
honestly restarting "state line" to turn on the snare was totally worth it. awesome show, jeff!
Woo!! it's a birthday wish come true! It's not my birthday but I am sure someone wished for this and it's their birthday and for that I am thankful!
congratulations, John, on joining special effects

I could never understand the lyrics in no dream (the song) but now looking at the subs its so beautiful

It’s an instrumental version of Festival song I’m pretty sure.
Smooth version of festival song by jeff
one day jeff will play a song so fast he goes back in time

“N O D R E A M” and “Ohio Tpke” live were things I didn’t know I needed in life
I asked jeff how he mixes and he told me he turns all the highs and lows down on his guitar so every time I listen and wonder how it sounds like that
That's what I do too. That big 'bedroom tone' typically gets lost in the mix with a full band. Drop the highs/lows and boost the mids to cut through more.
