The White Sticker comment is an interesting one because I thought LEGO had already found a solution to this problem as seen at the UCS Republic Gunship released in 2021. The sticker would be enough to cover the entire LEGO brick it overlayed, but the part that was "white" was actually transparent. It was a really awesome way to do it and I greatly applauded them for that. The only slight downside for some is that the whole sticker, including the transparent part, was very glossy; however, I thought the tradeoff was more than worth it. If you haven't seen those stickers, I would recommend looking into them as I feel like they would be a huge fix for these stickers on white bricks! Maybe they're expensive to make, but I think they would do the trick.
The problem with those were the tiny air bubbles underneath are very notable. This was also a big problem with partly transparent stickers on canopy pieces.
They did the same thing with the new Ghost and I did not have any problems with bubbles for the normal pieces. Canopy pieces are an entirely different story and should always be printed.
@@BrickBuiltBennyair bubbles may be an issue, but doing it on a transparent sticker would be far more useful potentially, if not for Lego themselves then for MOC builders! I love this set but I can’t stand all white (or mostly) white builds! I’d rather build my own version of this set as a different astromech, something like R2-Q5. And transparent stickers would be a lot more helpful in doing that as I could’ve still used the sticker! As it is in my build these are just gonna have to be a plain colour no detail! I mean LEGO could do a whole series of astromechs at this size, like the helmet sets, if they’d thought about it a little.
Damn, it is difficult to justify the purchase of this set since I have the UCS one, but it is really nice and the Malak minifigure is great. Let see when some great discount will land
The best thing about TLG releasing this R2? The price of a used big R2 set has dropped massively! I bought a used version of the bigger R2 for only £50! And am gonna probably spend that again colour swapping parts to make my own astromech- I’m thinking either R4-K5 or R2-B1! 😂
Goed filmpje.
If anyone is complaining about stickers because they don’t last for the long haul, they 100% are doing a horrible job applying them. I’ve built hundreds of sets for over 2 decades now and I’ve never had an instance where the sticker just peeled off on its own after applying it completely flat on a part. If your stickers are peeling, you’re probably allowing the sticker to overhang on a part, playing with the set way too roughly, or you’re displaying it in poor conditions (like right in front of a window constantly being exposed to sunlight).
@@BrickBuiltBennywhen I say roughly, I mean ROUGHLY. I played with my legos heavily when I was a kid, and again I never had any issues with stickers peeling off on their own over time
There are things we don’t know about production, and we can’t make assumptions. Yes, other sets might have more prints, but there are calculated reasons for these decisions. If it was easy, obviously everything would be printed. It’s just not that simple.
They put a highly desirable minifigure in their least desirable set. People will buy this set out of FOMO just for the minifig, and scalpers will buy and resell just the figure too. Scummy business practices Lego, I am very disappointed.
I'll never get over your insane production values. Keep up the good work.
You’re actually the best lego youtuber.
The quality on your videos is insane❤❤
Best LEGO UA-camr, by far, and the best part is he does it as a side channel 😅💯
Lowkey one of the best Lego channels out there

I love the intro of the Tantive IV hallway! I just want to know how you did it
Best review channel for Lego that I've done across. Great editing skills and comprehensive review. Keep up the good work
Please review the new Millennium Falcon. I really love your LEGO videos. I love the extra details you give. Please more consistent upload schedule
Just stumbled upon this channel, killer stuff! Subbed
It would be pretty cool to see your own take on a Brick Built Benny LEGO Star Wars box art.
Check out my other channel Benny Productions. There I redesigned some LEGO box art in a video!
Ur videos are amazing man! Keep up the great work!
Nice review and not to mention the perfect sticker placement :)
your videos are on of the best LEGO reviews, cant wait for another :-)
Super high production value on your videos is very very impressive 👏
Has anyone noticed the two silver light blue R2-D2 leg pieces in the greebling of the top of the box art?
Thank you SO MUCH for showing the extra pieces I thought I missed something
The spare parts are different in each box though, it’s quite random
Wow. Love the effort on making insane quality videos! Keep ‘em up
Great review and editing! Hope you start making TPT2 videos again.
I won’t sorry.
@@BrickBuiltBennyBut why 😢. I wanted to see you finish force world. Literally top series
You should build the Lego 1:8 Mclaren or Mercedes F1 or the CaDa Alfa Romeo 1:8 F1, I would like to know what you think of CaDa
The main reason I like this version, it goes perfectly with the new C-3PO.
Definitely earned a sub here. Can't imagine the amount of hours you put into each video.
Just came across your channel...Great review my man.
Bought it yesterday and it’s amazing, loved it!!
I personally think that the minifigure is enough and it doesn’t need the big one. 👍😂
I don't know why they don't do clear backgrounds for the stickers
Bubbles and dust are more visible underneath clear stickers. I don’t think that’d be the best solution either… but who knows.
Hall of Bricks has printed pieces you can replace the stickered pieces with
Benny pleeassse do the Coruscant guard gunship or the AT TE, that would be amazing!!
They’ve been out for quite a while now, wouldn’t be a good move unfortunately
Where is Benny's Adventures? Love all you do tho remember that
His views kept going down even though his vids were getting better so he stopped uploading
Come back please
I thought he was gonna upload once a week or so@@SmallLittleMan

These videos hit different fr

Your videos are instant likes for me!
This makes me wanna buy LEGO, even though i never bought anything related to building!
Amazing video!

Dit is nou eenmaal gewoon mijn stijl. Is inderdaad niet voor iedereen helaas.
Dude stop doing what you doing or you soon going to be my favourite Lego reviewer!
😏
Great video
For me the main reason to get this one is that it's half the price.
It's also half the size, but you get what you pay for.

That’s the thing though, for a children’s toy you should be able to play with it “roughly” without stickers peeling off in no time.
@@BrickBuiltBennywhen I say roughly, I mean ROUGHLY. I played with my legos heavily when I was a kid, and again I never had any issues with stickers peeling off on their own over time
Well so did I and a bunch of them did actually start peeling on their own.
Nice
6:44 Wait hold up. It’s a financial choice of Lego to not print those pieces. They have done way crazier prints in other sets.

drop the stickers and charge me more Lego
Us aussies getting ripped off

Uhm....no, beside minifigures the UCS is better.
