- We had a wedding photo shoot last summer. It was a complicated journey in choosing a wedding dress, a hair and makeup shop, and a photo studio. Even though it was complicated, it was nice to plan this once in lifetime event!
When I was on a wedding dress tour, I heard that they usually tour about more than two dress shops. When I tried the first dress shop, I immediately fell in love with their dresses! I didn’t need to visit any other dress shops. Dress tours are very meaningful because wedding dresses are usually rented and worn in Korea. Since we had a traditional Korean wedding, it was easier to choose a dress shop because we only had to choose a wedding dress for the photoshoot.
During the photoshoot day, one of the most important events is meeting your helper who will be assisting you throughout the day. This helper is called Yimo-nim. Yimo-nim helps the bride fit into the wedding dress and makes sure the bride’s hair and makeup are looking good. We were fortunate to have a very kind and detail oriented Yimo-nim. With her helping us, all we had to worry about was taking pictures.
During the photoshoot, two of Riley's friends were there for us to shoot the behind the scenes video. The photoshoot took 6 hours! Riley’s friends went home as time went by. The rest of the video is not as good because we were so tired. We will upload the wedding photos on Instagram so please check our instagram next week!
