  • Knowing their lives were in danger, Erika Taubner and her parents buried their most treasured possessions in the basement of their apartment building, so they would not fall into the hands of German occupiers or their Hungarian allies. That included a four-leaf clover necklace Erika had received from her grandmother.

    What an amazing story of survival !!
    Jozsa hid her gold pendant and ring and both these articles were recovered intact after the liberation !!
    Sure she kept these with her forever as a precious memory of ww2.

      Death by typhus and hunger is not a holocaust, and given the several other nationalities in the camps, why does the jew make it all about them?
