pretty normal. i have a xfx 6800xt merc that does the same. i ended up using two separate 8 pin rails off the psu and undervolting which all but eliminated it.
For me it didint helped. I tried every possible solution, including 5 different PSUs and UPS.
did you buy core version ?
Yes, faulty models was CORE. Year ago i had used BLACK version, which was working fine.
