I think Spinel would be someone in a Big Brother/Big Sister program. She's been hurt, and has grown from it, andstill has her bubbly nature, making a perfect someone to pair with a child in need.
I think rubies would make excellent hunters, athletes, police officers, and Era 3 black - ops. They are known to pay excellent attention to detail, as well as mask their true intentions to those who might be hostile towards them. and previously served as bodyguards for elite gems in the past. Their fiery aggression and brash nature could also work to their advantage, as they'd be able to use that aggression and brashness for more competitive and physically demanding activities, such as being able to out-compete other teams in sports and other militaristic forces in combat, as well as present themselves in a seemingly sociable or hostile way, depending on the situation. Additionally, rubies are known to be team players, able to literally coexist as a unit, which could be essential to winning any sports game or decisive battle. The only drawback to any job that the rubies are capable of doing (as well as most jobs, in general) is that they would need to learn to control their tempers when under lots of pressure to produce a desirable outcome(s), as they would need to be able to calmly assess any sort of situation or predicament they find themselves in or are faced with; as they would no longer be confined to watching over elites, however, they would be able to channel their frustrations into making self-improvements and training themselves to be more effective team players, which is extremely helpful in any sort of situation where you need to act as a unit in order to seize the day. Now how might the rubies be able to form plans in secret if they are dumb as... well, rocks... you might be asking? Finally, in the event that bismuths could continue to be the construction workers and become the weaponsmiths of Era 3, and assuming that they also adopt the role of tanners and are able to work with other gems on more tech-savvy items, they would be able to craft both lethal and non-lethal weapons for debilitating foes, sports equipment, and even more sophisticated munitions, as well as padded leather and Kevlar body armor for the rubies.
10:39 Humans can't do poses Spinel can. Spinel would have to learn what poses humans can't do, because she has a chance to harm people by not knowing which poses are safe for them. It would be better, for example, Pearl. She can better understand how human bodies work on her own example.
Even though it's Era 3, that may not change the fact that other gem species might want to come this way. In fact, this change might effect, not just Homeworld, but the universe around it. Or say otherwise, there's evidence that they've been doing this as early as the 1980's in the series. And should this series take that turn, it would be safe to say that we're dealing with Immigrant Gems that might change everything, and it will be a change that Steven himself will not see coming.
Although the hierachy has been taken down, there would still need to be rules to keep order and obviously some gems are gonna slip up sometimes so I think the zircons would just stay lawyers, dealing with slightly less serious cases as they may have used to.

Imagine if Steven finds out he’s not the only human gem hybrid in this mini series, not so much the diamonds have hybrids but other gems end up loving earth and humans a little too much and end up like Steven and his situation, Steven (being the first human hybrid) would be able to teach these other hybrids how to cope and live on as them as a different being and not their former other half
Question: what about gems that could just be a personal aid to someone? Not to be self centred but using myself as a example: I have Glockhoma (a form of blindness) in my right eye, sturge weber syndrome which varies per person on the cause but the effect is a seizure usually from bright, fast moving lights, as well as ADHD, are dangerously low on iron according to my doctor as well as vitamin D, and I don't really eat much. Which gem would best be suited to act as....basically a personal care taker? In my mind two gems come to mind instantly: pearls: pearls are built to be customized to match the master/ mistress with that in mind I could see them being customized to fit the medical needs too such as: helping with medication (I need this as I often forget to take mine), guiding the visually impaired and maybe helping those missing limbs. Gem no. 2 is Rose Quarts: with roses I could see them in this role for children and/or adolescence (such as myself) as pearls seem to be...more professional and adult like. For a child or teenager, unless you let them customize the pearl, it just doesn't fit. Roses honestly seem more open, friendly, and gentle at heart. Because of this, as well as them being great protection for their client, roses would fit pretty well. Downside is that they can't be customized so you'd have to pick from a range vs customizing it to your preferred settings.

I don't think spinels should be child care workers and here's why. Spinels are programmed to be like a small child and if a someone programmed to be a small child takes care of other small children it just doesn't make sense. Also spinel as seen in the movie can really hurt others. So maybe instead of being a childtaker she can be a student. Learning more of her new environment and learning to handle different relationships.
But what if lapis lazulis just changed weather, like clouds are just water so technically they could change weather and maybe try to help with hurricanes and other natural Disasters like try to stop them make them do less damage, try to fix the land after Earthquakes by terraforming

Ok I have my own personal jobs for everyone, and reasons: Pearl, Assistants, I believe this is obvious, but I think because they are used to orders and are very complimentary and most people do appreciate compliments, though I believe they should be taught not to do everything their boss tells them and be taught human morality. Zircon, Lawyer, Yes this is extremely obvious, but I do believe this is a better choice than Therapist, because they do listen quite well, but they usually don’t have any feelings toward who they are defending and are simply doing a job. Again they’d have to know human morals and human laws and rights and such and know everything about the court,but it would be even more difficult to teach them about caring for humans and teaching them how to be a therapist would be a very slow process since you would still have to convince them to actually care enough to do so. Spinel, Child Carer or Gymnasts, as they stated in the video they’d be good with children as they are stretchy and all, but they would probably be excellent at gymnastics, they would be able to flip and stretch and do all sorts of tricks and it would be entertaining but also fun for the Spinel, they would have to have rules, however so they don’t break the gymnasium or grab people and the like. Lapis Lazuli, Fire Fighter or Construction, I believe because of their immense power with water Lapis Lazuli’s would be amazing with fires! They could easily help with putting it out whilst the human fire fighters can help with other untouched areas and save people! They could also help with the construction of pools oh and I forgot one, Water Filterer, I believe they could filter out the unnecessary stuff inside of the water they are holding and then provide it to a pool that’s being constructed or any drinking water company’s factory. Rubies, Sports Coaches, the rubies are quite nimble and strong and are very aggressive, so purposely getting riled up and telling people to do stuff would be perfect. They would be strict and obviously taught to not burn humans or hurt them if they cannot preform the action but they can still be assertive and have a relatively easy job. Amethyst, Therapist and Wrestlers, hear me out, the Amethysts were the ones taking care of the Zoo Humans and were very caring towards each other, so I think with much effort and lessons they could easily be taught how to reason and care for humans in need, but also they’d be good at wrestling and so forth. Also they’d be great with construction and would be very useful in that department. Rose Quartz, Therapist possibly, we don’t truly know the nature or true Rose Quartz and they may be resentful of being locked up, but after that I believe they would be able to possibly sympathise with humans as Pink Diamond (their diamond) had a very big appreciation for humans. That’s just my opinion, thanks for possibly looking at this if you did.

Ok I have my own personal jobs for everyone, and reasons:
Pearl, Assistants, I believe this is obvious, but I think because they are used to orders and are very complimentary and most people do appreciate compliments, though I believe they should be taught not to do everything their boss tells them and be taught human morality.
Zircon, Lawyer, Yes this is extremely obvious, but I do believe this is a better choice than Therapist, because they do listen quite well, but they usually don’t have any feelings toward who they are defending and are simply doing a job. Again they’d have to know human morals and human laws and rights and such and know everything about the court,but it would be even more difficult to teach them about caring for humans and teaching them how to be a therapist would be a very slow process since you would still have to convince them to actually care enough to do so.
Spinel, Child Carer or Gymnasts, as they stated in the video they’d be good with children as they are stretchy and all, but they would probably be excellent at gymnastics, they would be able to flip and stretch and do all sorts of tricks and it would be entertaining but also fun for the Spinel, they would have to have rules, however so they don’t break the gymnasium or grab people and the like.
Lapis Lazuli, Fire Fighter or Construction, I believe because of their immense power with water Lapis Lazuli’s would be amazing with fires! They could easily help with putting it out whilst the human fire fighters can help with other untouched areas and save people! They could also help with the construction of pools oh and I forgot one, Water Filterer, I believe they could filter out the unnecessary stuff inside of the water they are holding and then provide it to a pool that’s being constructed or any drinking water company’s factory.
Rubies, Sports Coaches, the rubies are quite nimble and strong and are very aggressive, so purposely getting riled up and telling people to do stuff would be perfect. They would be strict and obviously taught to not burn humans or hurt them if they cannot preform the action but they can still be assertive and have a relatively easy job.
Amethyst, Therapist and Wrestlers, hear me out, the Amethysts were the ones taking care of the Zoo Humans and were very caring towards each other, so I think with much effort and lessons they could easily be taught how to reason and care for humans in need, but also they’d be good at wrestling and so forth. Also they’d be great with construction and would be very useful in that department.
Rose Quartz, Therapist possibly, we don’t truly know the nature or true Rose Quartz and they may be resentful of being locked up, but after that I believe they would be able to possibly sympathise with humans as Pink Diamond (their diamond) had a very big appreciation for humans.
