I think it's for the same reason you can turn off copyrighted music. It's so that Let's Players on UA-cam can upload Let's Plays without getting copystriked.
I mean c'mon, she has a good voice but this is not close to exceptional at all by any means. She didn't mess up the pitch but that's as good as it went, this didn't require any range or power at all. But I guess you could say the same with a lot of modern popular songs I guess.

And i actually prefer the ingame version to mxmtoons acoustic version just because of that. A great mix between singing voice and character sync.
Its one thing to sing a song for others because they like it, its a whole different feeling to sing it to yourself and feel that the words are about you. She was actively telling us how she felt in that moment and it was heart breaking because we could see how wrong she was.
I almost cried when she sang this because everyone she met in that town (except Mac but eventually even they are ok) liked her pretty much immediately and treated her with acceptance and kindness she'd never known, but she still thought "I don't belong here". She just needed someone to overhear that downstairs to kick in her door, hug her, and tell her that she finally found the place she belonged.
meh, this was the shortest LiS game, and we had the opportunity to binge the whole thing day 1. If people didn't get through it and then start looking up videos about the game, that's on them.
Honestly for me, the fact that not even 20 minutes later Gabe is on the roof telling her just how special she is, and based off the rest of the game, I think it actually got through to her. It just had such a big impact on the rest of the game, and really showed just how important Gabe was to helping Alex come into her own and actually feel like she's finally apart of something
The conversation in the first third or so of Chapter 5 makes me tear up every single time. (No spoilers, but if you've played it, you probably know the one I'm talking about.)

In life stage, true colors you can choose your orienting any how the music becomes a big part of her life with everybody around. Sorry, I got track. If you spend more time with some less with others to wayne if opppinin of you anlove others in some persona games is like that but in p5 they halted that and they all found where they belonged in the end thanks to Joker. Like the wild card, not the clown.

Cameos of main characters are always difficult with the LIS franchise since whatever ending you choose their fate would be wildly different. But I hope they try anyway, giving us questions like "did you play True Colors, did you stay in Haven Springs"? While True Colors didn't have such a question, at least Wavelengths had it about LIS1, which was really great!
This is why you, IMO, should not watch let's plays of games like this until you've played it yourself first :/ Half the experience is lost from the choices and music...

I can't explain... This song fits so perfectly into this scene, character, moment and what she's going through that I automatically get genuine empathy. The game won me right at the beginning, for me no LiS beats the first game but congratulations to Alex's voice actress.
That really sucks. For me, half the enjoyment of the game comes from being immersed in the moments. Music plays a huge role in that. Seeing all these streamers with no music defeats the purpose of the game imo.
Alex is such a strong, realistic and relatable character, i love her alot and i think she deserves the entire world, she's definitely up there with my top favourite characters of all time

i played this game with a friend i made mid 2022 and she grew to my heart so badly. like the feelings i got from the soundtracks, the characters and stuff are so so special to me - im deeply connected to this game and my friend having a depressed night, remebering and listening to this song made me tear up so bad been crying for 30 minutes, im sobbing

It can take up to 4 years sometimes to make a truly good game, this one took 3 years if not a bit longer since it was a different team. It will probably be another few years before they release the next masterpiece (besides the DLC anyway).

Like when Alex have to pick between Ryan and Steph to flirt with Diane, the face of disappointment on Alex's face is *smooch* gold. Another one would be at the festival when Alex ask about who will play with Steph in front of those people
