The masterly selection of rare krithis, each distinguished by a unique feature and rendered with meticulous attention to raga bhava and maintaining the exquisite melody of ragas like Sankarabharanam and Saveri in their pristine purity, clothed to perfection in the mellifluous voice, ...all bring out the richness of a distinguished legacy that she has inherited.

I had had the proud privilege of being in the audience of the First grand performance of (no no not sriranjani) of her father the young Santhana Gopalan in Bangalore may be some 50 yrs ago! Now it's a great pleasure to hear his daughter performing almost at his level. That's GOD's grace.

The recordist must know the accoustic basics. This one is a clear example of how keeping one particular instrument level high can spoil the concert. Ghatam has marred the joy of this wonderful concert

A classy concert filled with rare krithis. Particularly enjoyed the Vivadhi start, rarely rendered Sankarabharanam and Karaharapriya (Maharajapuram Sri Santhanam’s trademark) and the unheard sAveri. Superb set of accompanying artistes, Ramakrishnan has been in stellar form. Percussion vidwans support admirably. What a distinct pleasure listening to this concert in YT. Baskar Sir, please consider hosting your sessions here. Much more convenient and easy to access when rasikas want to listen.
