As someone that does alot of off roading and some rock crawling it's best to leave the pressure low in your tires to keep from getting punctures and for grip. The more air the rougher the ride and a whole lot less grip, plus easier to punctures in your tires. Lower air they can give and not get a hole. Great video
The Land Rover experience at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Took my wife for the day. She was driving for hours and absolutely loved it. Especially the balancing on 2 wheels, 1 front and 1 back.
As a drone owner, I can answer your question about the beeping... If you get a good one, then your signal lasts for miles at a time (although the legality of testing out a drone's maximum range is dubious). I've never seen a drone lose range as fast as in this game, but I'm guessing it would make it too easy to see your route more than 10 meters in advance haha 😂
Yea I guess it’s restricted due to exploiting the map areas without having to move too far. I actually had a little look at some drones range and it’s so impressive 😮
I got a drone for my son several years ago...he did pretty well with it. I gave it a try and promptly got it stuck 60 feet up in a tree. I'm not allowed to play with my sons toys anymore.

You know, videos like these bring back the memories how I've been a passenger on a very... VERY similar type of drive, when I was working in a teenager camp on the shores of Baikal lake. It was... well, it really was an adventure, especially since we had to do exactly the things you are showing here - rocks, mud, rivers, and all that jazz... On 28 minute mark you said "if you'd be sitting here with me, hold on to your dear life" - well, basically, others in the car were literally doing that, while I found it fun. I just can't really express how invigorating an experience like this is in reality. When you thread the needle between two very old, very sturdy trees on a "path" that's basically just enough for a horse to easily ride through, but not a vehicle... when you're having bumps and mud and rocks on a "road" that's next to a cliff that falls down about 50-60 meters... to a rocky shore of the lake... You - if you're a passenger - HAVE TO trust the driver. Or... just enjoy the ride and say "F this, if I die - I die, but I'll die smiling and filled with adrenaline." =) Anyways... LOVE this video and will be definitely looking forward to more if you're planning on doing them!
I struggled so hard not pulling my stupid long hair out whenever I watched you struggled rock climbing. You never used your low or granny (low-low) gears!!! They make everything so much easier!!! Lolol still laughed, but man the second hand anxiety is real 😅

when you get stuck or are having a hard time going up hill, just stay in low, it effectively doubles your gear ratios, thus giving you more low end torque. and that heavy truck has what you were calling "low low" is an actual doubler, so it doubles your already low gear, this giving you more torque even lower, so basically if you are going 30 kph in "A" for auto and you swap to low, your rpms will shoot up and your speed might be cut in half. Slower speed, higher rpms more torque and traction because less wheel speed.

this is a pretty cool game, been waiting for a game like this for a long time. I have a 85 4runner built for rocks, and doing stuff like this. its so much fun, and definitely get the adrenaline going. the problem salving of how to get up, or over a obstacles is why I love it. its a pretty awesome feeling when your do it. kinda like you had getting up that rock face, you couldn't believe you made it up. great videos fun watching a unexperienced person enjoying it.
If you are going to seriously go offroading, I must say you need to think about breakages while out, basic repairs, flat tyres and repairing a flat yourself, etc, etc. Maybe join a 4x4 group in your area to go with a group of experienced drivers.

Imagine this entire game being the "vehicle portion" of an open world zombie survival game. Gunplay like scum, looting like day-z, crafting like 7 Days To Die, and base building being a mix between 7D2D and Rust.
You should definitely try out off roading if you get the chance. Used to have a Jeep TJ specifically for that. Wait till your on a steep grade looking and the only thing you can see is the ground or the sky. Or fording 3 feet of water and your feet are getting wet and you’re keeping on the throttle to prevent water from flowing up the exhaust. It’s a blast.
Hey Fooster. As a previous owner of 5 Land Rovers, including 3 Defenders, I can tell you they look cool and are quite capable offroad. But totally inadequate for the day to day grind. Its a love hate relationship. You either love them or hate them. I have moved away from them for safety reasons. My family is worth more to me than a 4x4 and the defenders are notoriously bad when it comes to passenger safety :)

I went with some friends rock crawling down here outside Tucson, Arizona and I was amazed at what they could do. It definitely is a very slow process inching your way over boulders or huge gaps. So much fun though!
Day 5: FOOSTER, I love your vids man! You never fail to make me bust out laughing or full body contract when you get scared! Haha, you're my favorite UA-camr by far! I know you love playing games with great atmosphere and immersion, I'd love to see you play "The Division" and "The Division 2". At least the first one... It's set in a post apocalyptic New York after a super virus was unleashed around Christmas time. It's such a unique idea/story. I've never seen a more atmospheric game than "The Division". And I know how you like lore and there is plenty of it in this game. From phone recordings of actual citizens in the city, to recordings of the people behind the virus itself. The story itself is decent, some would say not the best, but it's the world building that makes this game top tier for me... Everywhere you look is a body bag/body box, they mass produced in order to dispose of the dead... It's truly chilling some of the scenes and areas you go through. Not to mention, the groups of people that form in the city are some of the most brutal groups I've ever had the chance to meet... I've never had a game blow my mind, while simultaneously giving me chills and a sense of dread quite like this game did. It is a looter shooter with RPG elements. I know it's not your typical game you play, but it fits the channel aesthetic as the world they created is brutal and at some points, truly psychologically mortifying. Also, did I mention it's Co-op? You can play with Fisk, Taco, and even one more. I'd love to see you do a playthrough of this game!
Going down, you can absolutely nose up to the edge of a cliff/ledge, attach your winch to your rear bumper to an anchor point behind you, and slowly lower yourself down it to the ground below by letting out the winch. At least in reality. Looks like it should be doable in this.
You could have made it you just didn’t get the refuel and the spare parts at the Air Drop!!! It had 100l of fuel and 250 spare parts ( don’t know how many parts anymore)😊

As always - enjoyed your content, most of this is common sense to me (I live in Western Australia), so deflating tyres, engaging low gearing and wheel lockers is an absolute must and first thing you do! 😁 Did you know that you can use spare parts to build bridges/crossings and level out the terrain in impassable places?! Try that! PS: don't forget to fuel up, for god sake... 😅🤣

Just picked this game up, and I can't put it down. I haven't played the other "Mud Runner" games, but it seems the vehicles are bouncing around too much. I just adopted to driving in low gear, or maybe the suspensions systems improves in later game when I discover more upgrades. The other minor issue is rubbing against trees, the collision is too strong that gets me stuck to the tree. Otherwise, I'm loving this.
Not sure why you didnt fill the gas tanks from the airdrop? Ypu did mention it but never did it, also you took the most hardest route up the laat mountain, to the right more there was an easier path you could have taken. None the less i still enjoyed watching you freak out haha keep up the good work!
I dont know if its the same like in Mud/snowrunner but driving between high range and low range +/- gear actually uses less fuel than in automatic. Also, when crossing bodies of water. Its better to do it in either low or high range gear. Not in automatic. Low range +/- makes your tires spin less which will help have better traction.

I ran across some of your videos back in January. I've been hooked ever since. I like video games, but I'd rather watch someone play them. I don't have the patience for all the different buttons to use or different options. I'm use to playing the Nintendo, and Super NES, and Playstation 2. It's fun watching this. As someone who grew up in a family that regularly did this kind of stuff (less research and more just wandering), I highly recommend it. There’s nothing quite like it and you will have a blast. Just make sure you go with someone who knows what they’re doing the first few times so you can get comfortable with the butt clenching fear of rolling over 😂

Going down, you can absolutely nose up to the edge of a cliff/ledge, attach your winch to your rear bumper to an anchor point behind you, and slowly lower yourself down it to the ground below by letting out the winch. At least in reality. Looks like it should be doable in this.

As always - enjoyed your content, most of this is common sense to me (I live in Western Australia), so deflating tyres, engaging low gearing and wheel lockers is an absolute must and first thing you do! 😁 Did you know that you can use spare parts to build bridges/crossings and level out the terrain in impassable places?! Try that!
PS: don't forget to fuel up, for god sake... 😅🤣

Just picked this game up, and I can't put it down. I haven't played the other "Mud Runner" games, but it seems the vehicles are bouncing around too much. I just adopted to driving in low gear, or maybe the suspensions systems improves in later game when I discover more upgrades. The other minor issue is rubbing against trees, the collision is too strong that gets me stuck to the tree. Otherwise, I'm loving this.
Not sure why you didnt fill the gas tanks from the airdrop? Ypu did mention it but never did it, also you took the most hardest route up the laat mountain, to the right more there was an easier path you could have taken. None the less i still enjoyed watching you freak out haha keep up the good work!
I dont know if its the same like in Mud/snowrunner but driving between high range and low range +/- gear actually uses less fuel than in automatic.
Also, when crossing bodies of water. Its better to do it in either low or high range gear. Not in automatic. Low range +/- makes your tires spin less which will help have better traction.

I ran across some of your videos back in January. I've been hooked ever since. I like video games, but I'd rather watch someone play them. I don't have the patience for all the different buttons to use or different options.
I'm use to playing the Nintendo, and Super NES, and Playstation 2. It's fun watching this. Just like watching my teenage kids play their Xboxes and their PlayStation 4's.

As someone who grew up in a family that regularly did this kind of stuff (less research and more just wandering), I highly recommend it. There’s nothing quite like it and you will have a blast.
