"Saholaka" (that street) is one of the most vibrant streets of Slemani. It gives life to the city. I like how you use the Kurdish language with the locals as it brings you closer to them.
I am originally from Silemani, and this video reminded me just how much I miss it! I cant wait to visit there again in a few months!

It's definitely the most open minded city in Kurdistan which is good enough reason for it to be best city in Kurdistan.
Actually that's just a stereotype and over exaggerated. I visited Slemany in May and it's just as backward as the rest of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Come to Iraqi-Kurdistan. You can land in erbil, so no need to leave the Kurdish area at all.
When I came out of Syria, I spent a couple weeks in slemani as a tourist. Best city in the world, especially if you speak some kurdish.
My favorite place to eat is a little stall that opens after sundown near Mazi plaza. I'm 100% going back as nothing but a tourist in the next few years.
The ice cream guy was absolutely epic what a lively street and amazing people !!! Bring on the next one!!

Slemani, my city. I visited the city in 2005. my grandfather is from there, but unfortunately the language was lost in the family, because we were raised in Baghdad. I miss the days I spent there. I'm so proud to be originally Kurdish.

Slemani is the city of my dad , I look what you show and I cry, I hope never more the war, and the peace in all the world.
It's the city I am from! If you're into history, you should definitely visit some of the ancient archaeological sites around there, like the 4,000+ year-old rock relief of Naram Sin, the Emperor of the world's first Empire (Akkad). Also, not sure if you have visited the other parts of Kurdistan, but Northern (Turkish) Kurdistan and Eastern (Iranian) Kurdistan are incredibly rich in ancient sites. Some gorgeous places in those parts of Kurdistan to visit are: in Iranian Kurdistan: the town of Sanandaj, Hawraman Region, Taq-e Bostan and the Bisotun Inscription in Kermanshah. In Turkish Kurdistan: Ishaq Pasha Palace (especially during winter), the historic and rarely visited town of Bitlis, Mount Nemrut in Adiyaman, with beheaded stone statues of Kings and Mythical Creatures.

I'm from Slemani but I usually never visit the street with food you guys visited (Saholaka), usually for me that road just presents unnecessary traffic when I'm going to work ..
it's funny how I go by it everyday and I don't have time to enjoy it ever due to busy work life, yet you guys have more fun there in few hours than I ever did or will

Why are the titles like that? IRAQ in capital letters and (Kurdistan) like this in between these brackets.
It can mislead people and they may think it is "IRAQ" which never is and everything about Kurdistan is totally so different than Iraq...
some are bragging about the whole area being called iraq in the map, dream about it coz it's always so different and will always be, even if you try to make beautiful Kurdistan a part of your country we Kurdish will still show that our area is different and will never be yours!
I know many of my foreign friends or people that i know still think that kurdistan is a part of iraq or it is a city of iraq lmao thanks to your thumbnails and titles which make the misunderstanding even bigger and more people will believe so.
I know all these youtubers want more attention and adding IRAQ in the title makes it sound much cooler and can attract more attention but (IRAQ) could also bring people's attention.

Yeaa im tired of them calling it Iraq too. Iraq barely shares its oil revenue with kurdistan, so they dont deserve any credit for kurdistans economic boom. Kurds will always be different to arabs because of culture.
Listen kid first of all only iraqi kurdistan is not country it has never been and will never be the Kurdish referendum back in 2017 failed and iraqi army with support of iran kicked u out of kerkuk aswell and second is that it does not even have it is own map it is with the iraqi map on the world map third all the kurds in iraq got iraqi passports and identity cards they go to iraq ambassy fourth the money in north iraq is the same money in the rest of iraq and final the biggest part of kurdistan is in turkey and syria and not in iraq but those parts are not country either and the kurds there got nothing with you iranian kurds to do so just be quite and learn some history.
