But for Gilbert it was "missing in action" which means he is alive. Then when Gilbert got shot and injured in battle his body was never found. Only his dog tag as well as when u watch the last episode of season one u see violet smile and tear up a little. As if she hasn't seen someone she loves and missed in years...it also ended on a cliffhanger which rlly broke my heart.
I am very sorry for Violet, she was turned into a weapon trained to follow orders without question, trained to hide and not show her emotions. They turned a child into a weapon, taking away childhood and the chance of a life without war.

Malec2Nightingale I think he's alive. In the last episode when Violet's letter was being read in a field of violets there was a drop of water and a light. I personally believe it was the major out there with a lantern reading her letter and then called for her at the end of the last episode. Just my opinion 😶

violet evergarden suits this amv perfectly. ive heard many amv of this song, this one seems more fitting, fighting for her lover who never makes it home, the life she was probably dreaming of, her future husband lost to the blood spilling rage of her enemies... the revenge she never got to taste for herself....
Violets story is a sad one . But a beautiful one. She lost someone she loved and hold dear. She also lost something that was apart of her. Her arms that can never be replaced. But she managed to fight the past and try to move forward. She didn’t know what life was as a kid , cuz she was used as a tool for the battlefield. The biggest tragedy in her life were does wars , but with them she learned how to become an actual person. And realized that she will not become a tool for others. That she will continue to live and do her best.
Profound... No matter in what style of story telling. That's the word for this video. Big meaning behind it and its very important to our soldiers out there fighting for some reason that isn't just "Freedom". We all know it. But I truly enjoyed this video. I know its a year old.
