I really missed a cosmos video on your channel. It was my fav gear of 2022. except enner I have them all and all these wonderful and genius instruments team up absolutely amazing with the cosmos. I am soooo blessed to own them! The best thing you can swap firmware in less than 5 seconds. The rhythmic firmware turns cosmos in whole another device. Thx for making a cosmos video! ❤️
I had it on my wishlist for a long time but I just could not find one in stock. Then Mandy from Jungle of Wires wanted to part with it and I was so happy!
You had commented that you weren't feeling as inspired by the modular lately. It feels like you're really having fun exploring the Soma instruments, which is great! I will probably never own a Soma instrument, I just really enjoy watching your videos when it feels like you're having fun exploring sounds and what you can do with them.
Honestly, I think Enner just by itself is a tough ride, but with Cosmos nearby it's a super entertaining personal journey. Just pre-ordered the Pulsar-23 utilities....
Thank you for this video. I like to see you using this kind of machines so different I have to recognize that soma does something special in its system that takes you out of the usual very easily. It's hard to compare with other things... I have lyra and I have cosmos (which I love), and I'm very attracted to enner and why not to say it too... pulsar23. Not to make techno but as an experimental rhythmic element.
I am still the least impressed with Pulsar-23 but that's simply because I don't know how it (really) works and haven't find the time to spend a few days with it. I made two episodes and what comes out still can't beat my four Plaits. I had a great time with P-23 and Marbles, and process it with modular effects. But now it's really time to hook it up to Cosmos with the rhythmic firmware. Coming soon, maybe even next week.
Sounds so amazing, great guitar playing like Robert Fripp, fantastic set and setting, cosmos is a marvelous efx, all together instruments in a jam would be great, too! Greetings 🖖☺️
What I do is not even close to playing guitar, and It probably took 5 takes to get it right. The top strings are tuned to fifths, and the lower strings are C minor since I always 'compose' in Cmin. So it's super easy to have open string chords and make power chords. And let cosmos do the heavy lifting. I love the guitar becuse Phil Manzanera from Roxy Music played one and it brings back tons of good memories just to look at it. Indeed I absolutely LOVE Robert Fripp too, especially with Bowie.
Having a lot of fun lately with Pulsar, Enner and Mimeophon/Morphagene for effects and looping, and a slew of modules for modulation. Requires a lot of patching which maybe hinders creative flow in some ways, but also leads in other directions. Cosmos sounds amazing and maybe gets you to a creative place faster.
Great video. I love my Cosmos, too. Remarkable.
That Gibson Firebird guitar .. it is art. And, Les Pauls too .. same kind of effect.
Fantastic as always, thanks 🎶💫
Thank you too!

Man, I love this! Awesome video :)
Your line on instinct is awesome!!
Great walkthrough! A lot of reference material, as usual 😅

I am always inspired by the modular. It's just that my studio is near finished and it's still a mess. But working with Cosmos was like going to a Spa.
@@CinematicLaboratoryYeah, the mess thing throws me off too. Trying to be creative when your space is too chaotic sucks.
Soma is an insane company! I own Cosmos and Lyra-8, thinking of getting the Enner!

@@CinematicLaboratory I would probably need to sell my 2nd kidney now to be able to afford some more gear lol

I can't emphasize enough how useful the 'just plug and play' part is.
will it make me something else?
