Yeah, whenever I watch such creators like dex most of comments were negative and it made me feel bad. Although most of the times what they request is more efficient/convenient they don't consider forgetting such knowledge while playing it is a thing. It's really nice to see others thinking the same!

Something I appreciate with Dex is that no matter with route his builds take he always finds a reason to be genuinely excited about whatever unexpected item gets thrown his way. I've never seem him be upset about a build not going exactly to plan.
You are the sole reason I started actually planning my DC runs, and I am enjoying the F out of it 1000x more as a result. I also was planning a spine run so I am watching this with great interest. Random unrelated comment. Junk jet and pinpusion are quickly becoming a favorite perk tandem to me.
Dex, if you do the reset counter again sometime I think you should the actual number of resets and not how many encounters you did it in! It has a lot more impact and really shows the viewer how much effort you put into making strong runs putting out good videos

Self damage such as spikes from spikey stressball and cactus will increase your hedgehog spikes for tiny chip damage to yourself whilst also giving you block that negates a lot of the self damage, making this build more functional.
@@mikkelah.3589but the vampire character heals for damage dealt and it doesn't take a lot of spikes for the stress spikes to be healing you every time instead of hurting you. I did a run with a load of stressballs and every claw-load of spikes was a full heal.

Well Dex did you know that spikes trigger even when you have Dodge or Reflect? you can build some Crazy stuff with dodge spikes and the perk that lets you carry a dodge to the next round combine that with an harpoon and spike shield and the enemy is not going to have a good time

Yo Dex have u thought about transmuting the mides hand from metal to another element? Then the magnet will attract the gold and not the hand meaning ur less likely to pick out the hand and get more gold with the teddy
I wonder what a truly ideal run of this would look like. Maybe the Harpoon Bunny with 3x Vampire Paw, spike shields+, holy shield, pearl+, glass cleaner, all items converted to glass and the Hedgehog Perks?
Hey @Dex I downloaded dungeon clawer after watching you play to have some fun myself but noticed my map looked very different to yours I was wondering if you are using Dlc or modpack and if so which one?
Would be so nice if they displayed the seed of a run and allowed to start a run with a specified seed. Or even had weekly events with fixed seeds with hall of fame like bounty of one...but that would make more sense for Brotato first I guess :D
I've done a spike build the other day, shredded all the other ways to deal damage. I lost at f34 because or that dude that doesn't attack just heal and put poisonballs in that grabbing area
I just completed a nightmare Clawcula run with just two spiky stressballs: I had just one hedgehog spikes (more would have been nice) and picky (but no magic mirror which would also have been nice) and I was able to shred everything else on level 12. Ok, so it's not quite the same since I'm actually attacking with the spikes and doing good damage with them as the stressballs build up strength but the hedgehog spikes build up quickly with each stressball spike and the strength means the spikes also heal instead of hurting.
Dex, I have an idea, What if you use Squiddy or Count Clawcula and fluff build with Lava or contageous poison with dodge build? Granted, it will not get far, but far enough to go Round 30.
The only reason I could think of for healing before damage is to prevent your character from going below 0 hp and then healing up. Example: your character is on 5 HP and has 15 spikes and the enemy does 15, you would go up to 20 HP then back down to 5. But if it healed last like you would expect you would go to -10 killing your character and never getting the healing at all.
Is there a reason dex doesn't translate a hand of midus to something not metal so the gold gets picked out with the magnetic but not the hand? I've never played the game before so I'm genuinely curious.
Off topic but you should watch skibidi toilet it’s honestly not that bad but make sure you watch the main one which was created by dafuqboom if you end up watching it dex. don’t mind the weird stuff that happen though(excluding the main focus of the show)

One thing you could also look into getting is the pearl, if you get spikes, the pearl can double. If you pick it up alone then it triples
and if you add a glass cleaner you could have the pearl applied five times (with picky and magic mirror) to multiply your spikes by 32.
Spikes are affected by tantrum with the Cuddline Floofington character. It gets insanely OP when you get stacks of tantrum going.
I really like her with the Teddy Bears and Junk Jet strategy. Hope Dex will try this out once

Spikes work well with dodge builds. They still proc even in you don’t get damaged, but the perks like hedgehog will only proc if you do.

He tried that in the past already, and a lot of the time the gold on the other side of the hand just pins it to the magnet anyway.
