- This is a super late dorm tour video but better late than never! I wanted to make this so people can see the inside of western heights because when I came I wasn't super sure how everything looked!

Thanks for publishing this video. I graduated from WMU in the ‘80s (3 time WMU grad!) and, obviously, Western Heights wasn’t around when I was there. Seeing a dorm room brought back a lot of memories. I lived in Spindler Hall (before it became a frat house). I loved my time at WMU and wish I could turn back time and do it all again!
This was super helpful. I'm thinking of applying next year!

Hey Megan! Love your room set up! I’m a new transfer student currently living in Henry Hall. Do you know if Western Height take any other students aside from Freshmen?
Regine Acosta it’s mostly for freshman. I’ve heard of people who are older but have first year credits living in here but aside from that it’s for freshman :/

Katie J I signed up the very first day housing opened and I heard a lot of people who didn’t sign up the first day didn’t get it! It could be different this year tho!
Hello! I am living in the heights this fall and my roommate and I were wondering how much space you had under your bed? We wanted to lower them just how you did.
Hannah Korbel I had a lot of extra space under there. I was able to fit everything I needed perfectly!
I’m going to WMU this fall and i was wondering if it matters if I get a MacBook bc some adults told me I’d have to convert everything, do a lot of ppl use MacBooks at WMU that don’t have to convert or should I get a different laptop brand?
Samara Pfleger I use a MacBook and all my friends have MacBooks and we never had any problems 😊
hi! my name is ash & i am gonna be a freshman at wmu living in heights east but was wondering if there were any things that you felt were necessary to have living in the heights!
ash bir make sure you have a basket for your shower stuff to bring everything to the bathrooms but other than that your regular dorm things will be just fine! There’s a main area with a fridge and oven but you may want to have your own mini fridge and microwave if you don’t want to keep it in the community one but it isn’t necessary!
How did you half-loft your bed?
i’m looking into possibly majoring in music education there--- do you happen to know anything about the music community and what it's like?? are the music majors a small part of the college that's barely talked about or is it pretty relevant there?? etc. thank you!!!!! :)
I don't know much about the program but I know that a lot of people in the fine arts department get really close to each other since it is a smaller community!

Imani Jones depends where your room is and my door is right next to the bathroom! All the bathrooms are in the middle of the pod
How many girls might be sharing the bathroom over any given day? Is it like a pod, or can you use any bathroom?
Can freshman live there?

Wow that’s extremely nice for a freshman dorm compared to some other colleges in my state, can’t imagine the dorm for upper classmen! How do like western?
Karley Marcelina I love it here! The classes are good and the campus is so nice and easy to walk and everyone I’ve met is super nice :)
