My pacifica is the only guitar I've ever owned, had it for 16 years im put off buying another guitar because the Pacifica always sounds better Good video btw I might mod mine now
Yamaha pacificas are the best guitars on the market..cheap as chips, look better than a fender and even on the low end models they come with decent components. The trem system on them works as good as any fender ive played. You can mod them up to be a high end player that will be a work horse for gigs and recording. I modded mine with two alnico p94 pickups and scratch plate..everythong else is stock, its my most reliable guitar out of the 7 i own.
picked up a dirt cheap used candy red pacifica and you've done exactly what I was planning to do! (mainly because its an old one and the guard+pickups are very yellowed). Black pickguard + black pickups on red looks fantastic! I hadn't considered a covered chrome humbucker, but yours looks great so I might change my mind. (plus I could use this as an excuse to upgrade my epi Les Paul pickups so i'd have a chrome bridge pickup going spare anyway ;) )
Hello sir. Im also planning to replace my Pacificas 112k (Indonesia) pickup covers from brigde to neck. Can you tell me the sizes youve used for brigde, mid, and neck?
Hey I need help with my red PAC012 that needs a trem system upgrade since my current one was broken, do you have any recommendations wether what trem system should I use? Thanks.
@@ynigo8923 most asian made guitars come with 52.5mm mounting baseplate and 52.5mm strings spacing.. you can go with Wilkinson brand but avoid the cheap one,the push in trem doesn't hold for long and , I rather have the screw in trem with any brand.I say this because I already did with Wilkinson.I already change it with a brass block with screw in trem hole..with heat shrink tubing on the 1/4 threads..and some teflon tape .it become more stable..you even can float and flutter your trem with this trick. and one more brand is GFS ..just check the mounting spacing and saddle spacing .to avoid more work
G'day, firstly, good video mods but I don't like the way u handle that poor guitar after spending the time to upgrade it then u start juggling it and holding it like its a cricket/baseball bat. It might not b your baby but it is a guitar. Where's the luv? 😄🖤🎸
Did you actually make a video and you have tons and tons of links for things. Except for the things that you replaced on the guitar. You don't have a link for the tuners. You don't have a link for the pick guard. You don't have a link for the nothing except for cameras and lighting and scrap that we don't give about
Sorry. Thanks for letting me know. I've added links. The tuners were from an eBay auction and I don't know what make they were so I've left them off. The pickguard, humbuckers and bridge saddles are on there now though
I've had a pacifica for 3 years now and i'm finally getting around to modding it. Great video, subscribed!
Thanks mate. Which mods are you doing? Let me know how you get on

looks super nice, good job!
Where can i purchase a pickguard for pacifica i cant find one for the pac012
What size were your tuning machine...?
Did'nt get that. Thank you before hand
I'd like to know the tuning pegs
The pop metal saddles are actually worst for sustain than the stock Pacifica ones, no hate, just saying
ua-cam.com/video/dsIBjOIQm-Q/v-deo.html I found that the only difference with bridge saddles was with brass saddles.
What tuners did you use?
Is that "3-way switch" actually a 5-way switch by any chance? 🤔🐴
Errr. Did I call it a 3 way? It’s a 5. Soz
@@PherotoneStudios Yeah... about 5 times! 🤣🐴
Awkward
do you have a link for the tuning pegs ?
how did you get a pickguard for it? last time i checked fender strat pickguards requirered cutting some on the lower horn side 😲
I've seen some on amazon that are for pacificas.
A sharp upgrade, mate, but did you not mean a five-way switch? Cheers!
what is the size of the humbucker pickup cover? 50mm or 52mm? Thank You
Nice Vid! Do you happen to know what version Yamaha it is? You gotta play it man!!

Wilkinson trems seem to be pretty popular, I ordered one for my 012
@@jor6933 like any? Im not really that familiar with tremolo systems so thank you
I meant what specific size should i get mb for not being clear

I thought the bridge was a trembucker?
5 way switch
Por favor.. Donde puedo ver las Fotos de esa Yamaha Pacifica Modificada?

Sorry. I’d lost heart in this guitar when I saw how beaten up the body was when it arrived. It played nicely though
