I am a grandma amd always wanted yo learn the handstanding.
You are lovely and I will learn to show this to my kids.
Gracias! Saludos from Lima Perú 🥰
Wonderful, welcome on board. Let us know how it goes! You will be super grandma! Best wishes.
Amazing!
Natalie, you are a great teacher. I'm a 43 year old guy from Denmark, and I've always wanted to be able to do a kick up handstand against the wall, but I used to get dizzy just from tying my laces. In january 2020 I began following your Couch to Handstand 30 Day Challenge - not every day, but a couple of days a week. When I reached Day 20, I had to stop, because it was to difficult for me. I was overweight, and I didn't have the strength to lift and hold my own bodyweight. I paused the challenge, but I was still motivated. I changed my diet, started running, doing calisthenics and cardio training. When I started loosing weight, I picked up your Handstand 30 Day Challenge again from Day 1. Now 6 months later I've lost 20kg, and I have compleated your challenge to the end, and it makes me so happy. I'm now doing your Handstand Practice For Beginners, and I'm able to kick up and hold a handstand against the wall with relative ease. Your challenge was a great motivation for me, and this journey has made me believe that anything is possible. Thank you very much.
Hello and thank you so much for your lovely words and sharing your experience! I admire your courage and determination. I am happy to have contributed a positive experience to your personal journey. Yes, anything is possible. A little step every day. If you are interested I have written about it on my blog. I wish you all the best. 💜 artofhandbalancing.wordpress.com/
Thank you for sharing your inspirational story!
This is a great motivational story for me too. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I thought I was in great shape after doing over 40 triathlons.
But here I am repeating day one twice finding how pathetic my shoulders are..I will succeed with you
I'm comin out of quarantine walking on my hands😤
That would be truely amazing! Welcome on board. I hope it makes your days more interesting. Best wishes
Thank you for your generosity, Natalie.
I cant wait to finally be able to handstand properly! Thanks so much for making these videos!
Welcome on board!
Next the most effective middle split tutorial pls! Since its so beneficial for the handstand especialy during oahs trainning
Good idea!
@@NatalieReckert that would be incredible!
Day 1: Just finished and I feel a lot stronger already. My core is exhausted but I just kicked up to handstand with my core engaged and held it for like 2 seconds. Didn't need the wall because a strong core and a gentle kick-up prevented me for going over. Looking forward to tomorrow!
Welcome on board and thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds great and well prepared, let me know how ot goes :)
Thank you so much Natalie for this. This was very thoughtful of you. I am taking this course. Done till day 2 as of now. You are a wonderful teacher.
Welcome on board, let us know how it goes.
I am starting my handstand journey with you. Ahhh can’t wait to see my progress in a month! Life is better upside down 🙃🌸
Welcome on board :)

Welcome on board! Let us know how it goes :)
Thanks a lot for this 1st day video :).
Welcome on board, let me know how it goes.
Thank you. I teach acrobatics but could never do a handstand. im going to incorporate you video into my curriculum.
Welcome on board :)
This is my first day today learning handstand
Yay! I hope it has been going well. Let me know how it goes!
Any suggestions for building wrist strength? Mine start to hurt after 5 breaths in handstand
Squeeze tennis balls every day, or twist a broomstick backwards and then front with arms stretched out straight in front of you. This video may help too: ua-cam.com/video/yKvvmWuunM8/v-deo.html
Natalie, my hands are so stiff that they hurt badly when I put them flat on the floor in the tabletop position. Is this a common problem in the beginning? I used to do a lot of weight training and never stretched my hands. I'm sure that is part of it... If not all of it. What do you think?
You need to stretch your wrists, the wrist mobility tends to improve quickly, but before you start this course you should be ok in a four point position: ua-cam.com/video/yKvvmWuunM8/v-deo.html
Thank you very much, Natalie. I will follow your video. 😊
Amazing 😘😘🌹
Welcome on board, let us know how it is going for you.
Hallo Natalie,
was meinst du genau mit Putting the Nable towards the Spine.
I've been trying to do adhomuka vrksasana for a year but I'm blocked. It's not because of a lack of strength. My problem is that I am not able to kick up my legs because I feel not confident enough, I'm terribly fearful when I come to the starting position. Hope these vídeos help. I"ll tell you muy progress. Thanks a lot.
Hello Rocio, thank you for the compliment!
Do not worry about your fears, many people have them. I made this for all those who struggle with the conventional beginners classes.
This 30 day journey really focusses on building confidence and strength. I hope you will master your fear better after this.
Great to have you on board!

Welcome on board :)
How many days did it take for you to do handstand???? 🤔🤔
I think it took me about a month :) but I also did gymnastics..
Just started today! Anyone gone from couch to handstand already? If I do all thirty days in a row what are chances of being able to hold a handstand?
Hi Thomas,
welcome on board!
Check the comments of video number 30, the last week seems to be the most challenging.
After 30 days you should be bale to hold a bit with the wall. Freestanding takes a bit longer than that ;)
Have fun and let me know how it goes.
Best wishes
Medam you supper
You are the best, teacher ever. I’m learning handstand by just watching and following you. My confidence is growing by your simple demonstration, broken down so well. Thank you very much
Thank you so much! Great to have you on board! Let me know how it goes as you follow the 30 days :)
Did you get the handstand? 😀
Love your empathy teaching. Thank you so much for publishing the video.
Thank you! Empathy teaching sounds very nice! What a great expression :) Waving to you from London!
I am so happy that you've made this! Thank you!!
Great to have you on board :)
Just finished my first days practise. Brilliant experience. Thanks. I hope I get my handstand by 30 days. Let’s see!
WEEK 1 ✅ I’ve just completed Day 6. Tomorrow is a rest day so one week is up. A little about myself; I’m 25 years old, weigh app 90kg so I’m a heavy guy and unfit. But this workout was brilliant, I feel better, more flexible even, I would definitely recommend anybody in doubt to go ahead with it. I’m still not even close to holding a handstand but I can feel my shoulders and wrists getting stronger as Natalie slowly makes me add weight to them. feel stronger and hopeful! I’ll update you all again next week!
Hello and great to have you on board! Let us know how it goes on the way. Best wishes
Starting today! Thank you much for this class, excellent instructions and motivation!
Hiya, welcome :) Thank you.
Today I started my journey towards handstand with you. Thank you so much for this wonderful video.
Welcome on board and let us know how it goes!
How is it going ?!
5 minutes in and my shoulders and arms are exhausted. It looks so easy!
Hello and welcome on board. Do this in your own time and repeat sessions or take days off as you need it. The 30 days are just a guideline, you can adjust it to what feels possible for you. Let me know how it goes. Have a good day
Really enjoyed lesson 1, I am determined to achieve a good handstand and progress from there! Thank you for giving us these lessons!
Welcome on board :) Let us know how it goes.
Thank you Natalie, I’ve learn so much from you, feeling stronger and having fun. I’ve made my commitment to follow your 30 days, and am looking forward to seeing you and to what the 30 days would make a Change.
That's great! :)Very happy about that! Videos are released every Thursday and Sunday for the 30 day course. Cause I can't edit faster ;) So be patient and stay with me.
I understand. I know how much work and time it must have taken. Thank you so much for sharing with us your talent in Art of handbalancing and in teaching it.
thank you so much for the encouraging words during the session. i love it. actually i master head stand quite well, does that help me with the hand stand? once more thank you for the motivation to try a new challenge
Headstands are a useful pre-knowledge in terms of coordination and body awareness. the specific things that you need to build for the handstand are core strength, upper body strength and balance which is quite different from the headstand.
Thank you for creating this series! I've just completed day 1 and really enjoyed it, will be back tomorrow for day 2 😊
Wonderful! Welcome on board, let us know how it goes. Little steps go a long way! Best wishes
Can't wait to do the rest of the 30 days. If it's as good as this have to get the 7 week course when I can afford it
Easter sale coming soon on my instagram :)The 7 weeks are more intense and strength focused and a lot more dense with information. But the 30 days are a perfect preparation :)
Thanks for your support

Yay! Welcome on board and let us know how it goes.
How many times should we repeat the exercises that she does in a day ?
Just do them with me in the video, that is all for now :) So answer is: Just once together with me. Welcome on board of this challenge!
@@NatalieReckert thank you so much I hope I am able to complete the challenge :)
Wow! Thank you you are so kind for sharing this with such positivity and sensitivity to where we are starting from.
Hello and thank you for your lovely words. Handstands seem so scarry but it is an achievable skill if you take your time and practice regularly bit by bit. Welcome on board and let me know how it goes :)
Natalie thank you.
Do you mean for the super handbalancing that you do you are kind of balancing the inner part too?
Hi Jake, Do you mean the centering exercise? Balance can be explained in many ways, for example you can look at the technical elements that create the balance in the handstand. But at the end of the day balance is an intrinsic/inner feeling. Because the process of balance is so complex, focussing on the bodily FEeling of balance can be really useful when tying all the strings of technique togehter. Does this answer your question?
Best handstand coach
Thank you :)
You are a wonderful teacher and I am so, so glad I found your channel. Thank you for all these amazing videos. Very excited to keep up my practice with your guidance, and so grateful to you. :)))
Hello and thank you for joining us on this journey! Thank you for your sweet feedback. Let me know how it goes and best wishes, Natalie
Thank you for your video. It's been very helpful. I have a question. Can person with hyper extended elbow practice handstand?
Hello Vijeth, Thank you for taking part in this 30 day journey.
Yes, you can practice handstands if your elbows are hyperextended. You should always make sure that you don't have pain and if you do have pain, give it a rest. Also add some extra push ups to your training routine to strengthen the elbows.
I have hyperextended elbows myself and I am fine.
Thankyou this is so good and I am starting my handstand practice for next 30days with you and hoping i can learn the skill in this hard times of the world and more power to you for helping us and lots of love from india and stay safe
Welcome on board and let us know how it goes :)
You were so great at the "Hutfestival" in Chemnitz. Love your sense of humour. Hope to see you again here. Keep up your work.
Vielen Dank! Chemnitz was an awesome audience! All the best!
Hi @NatalieReckert , what is the difference between the 30 day challenge Couch to Handstand and the 30 day challenge Build your Handstand?
I'm at the couch to handstand day 4 and I never did something like this (I'm a tennis player and like to dance) and I really like it to do something totally different. Surprised by myself I look forward to the videos. thank you!
Hello and welcome on board! The two courses are similar. The build your handstand course takes some of the feedback into account from this couch to handstand course which came first. Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes.
I’m very excited to improve and be able to handstanding💪🏻
Welcome on board, let us know how you are doing :)
Hello heartbreaker. Im a good swimmer or I was and im getting back into it. I do 3 days a week. Maybe hand stand practice alternate days. What is hand stand good cross training for? Desk jobs, good posture running? healthy strong shoulders for swimming. Plz talk me into it!
Hiya, I think 3 days a week is perfect. I think handstands is good cross training with most things, cardio is a good pairing. Good that you are back on track!
This is such a good video idea! thanks for this, so helpful
Glad you like it!
Today is day 1 and I’m very excited! I’ve never done a handstand before looking forward to the end result!
Wonderful, welcome on board! Let us know how it goes!

@@szakiborsodi7490 Haha, igen magyar/nemet. Annak örülök, sok sikert!
I can do it amazingly
Thank you for this! ♥️🙏
Wow
Natalie what means when ibyoga talks: put your navel?
Hello Maria, pulling the navel or front of your stomach in, in the direction of your spine is a common way in handstand teaching to tell students how to activate core/ stomach muscle strength. Pulling the stomach towards the spine makes you stronger and your handstand better.
@@NatalieReckert yes Right very clear now gratfull
Hi Natalie, Just started the 30 day challenge again. I liked it so much and hoping my daughter Aura will join me on the journey once again. Thanks so much for you videos. They are great! lots of gratitude from Boston, MA

Yesterday I did 1st day, was awesome.
Hi Natalie, I discovered you while searching for handstand lessons. I do crossfit but have always been scared to kick upto a handstand. Its been a goal of mine forever. You teach so well, loving your lessons. I have roped in a group of ladies from my fitness group and we are doing this challenge together. Thank you so so much for being our teacher through this journey
Hiya, that younds fabulous. Welcome on board! I hope you and the ladies will be super confident and extra strong by the end of this :) Best wishes
Thank you nathalie for these videos. You are an amazing teacher.
I did the 30 days to handstand in 2020. And I let go taking care of my body in the last year and a half. I found it so motivating to do it with you, I decided to get of my couch with you again. ;)

Welcome on board and let me know how it goes!
I really enjoyed the delivery in this video, plenty of encouragement to aspire something seemingly quite far fetched and unlikely.
It will take time but with patience and commitment you can get there. Welcome on board :) Let us know how it went.
Hey Natalie!! Can you please explain what you mean by pull your navel in towards your spine in detail please
Hello Prithvi,
It feels a bit like pulling the whole front surface of your stomach closer to the back, towards your spine.
Or a bit like when you are trying to make yourself look slim by pulling the stomach in a bit. I will also explain more abaout it in the following videos.
So glad I discovered your channel! Looking forward to completing this series. Vielen Dank :)
Hello and welcome aboard this journey :) Let me know how it goes.
Thank youuuu🥰🥰🥰
I don’t have enough words to appreciate you 😘🙏👏👏
Thank you for being here. Let me know how it goes.
I enjoyed this very much and will definitely be doing all 30 days.
However can someone describe to me what "push your navel into the spine" means? Does it mean tuck my belly in as if I'm breathing out?
Hello and thank you for sharing your experience, great to have you on board.
Navel to the spine - imagine the front of your stomach is a surface, try to pull that whole surface closer to your spine. Some people describe it as sucking the stomach in (like you would if you are trying to appear thinner). But at the same time you still need to be able to breathe so you have to find a middle ground. Hope that helps
@@NatalieReckert that helps a lot thank you!
I'm really scared about inversions and decided that handstand was one of the challenges for 2021 ! Thank you so much Natalie for this free ressource. Anyone else starting this now ?
Welcome on board and let us know how it goes. First steps are the hardest and you have taken them already.
Thank you ! I’m on day 14 today, and it’s going very smoothly. No fear. I really like the pace.
A question that is often going through my mind is what do I do with my knees (in some exercices). Like do I have a micro bend, do I lock them ?
On day 13 I filmed myself cause I had a hard time telling if my hips were above my hips when my feet were on the stool. And I was quite happy with form seing where progress can be made.
But those 3 times with the leg up were hard !! I paused the video to do it a fourth time to do it twice on each legs and couldn’t hold it ! Ahah So I thought « hum Natalie really knows what she’s doing! » (not that I was doubting in the first place).
Still working on the mind body connexion. Definitely feel stronger and more at ease !
Thank you !
❤️❤️❤️
It's really challenging!! I hope I achieve this goal!
