Remember new Beginner that Storage Engine = MRG_MYISAM is read only that means that you cant insert data into the table through php code for that you do Storage Engine = innoDB. 3:15

I am new to database and just realised that by using null is easier if some of the variables are unknown. I also noticed that i don't have to declare or set those variables... is this also true for undefined?

+ashwin k at this very moment I just got it working. So the problem was I couldn't INSERT INTO the table. later I discovered that it was read only. I changed the storage engine into InnoDB and it works. Don't know exactly how thoguh :p
