Piraeus is the port area that links Athens to the hundreds of famous Greek Islands.
Piraeus is much more than a port however, and this little walk along the coastline, including the famous area of Piraiki demonstrates just how beautiful this part of the world is.
This was shot on 25/03/2021 which was the celebration of 200 years of Greek Independence.
Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions and national lockdown and curfew there were very few people around so this is a rare look at this historic area without all of the usual open shops and tourism.
All films produced on this channel are shot at a normal walking pace so not only give potential visitors a good time frame for how long things may take but also give an intimate look at the areas filmed without promotion. Just walking the streets and allowing you to see what I see.
