@@emihayashi7725 I think you can do whatever you like with it! I've seen people suggest garlands for decoration, headbands, bag straps, curtain ties, etc.
@@Binxal it'd make a nice belt, a small one with fine yarn for a bracelet or necklace or watch strap, several long ones strapped together and hung in a doorless doorway could make a room divider, like beaded ones used a lot in the 60's and 70's.
Beautiful. I agree it would make a beautiful belt. I can also see it as garling around a Christmas tree. Wrapped around a Christmas wreath. Sewing bells on it for a door decoration. Wrapped around a pool noodle as a candy cane. So many ways to use it.
I crochet and knit and love doing both. However, I learned how to crochet from my grandma at age eight, and I thank her every day for this gift she gave me.
My Grandmother also taught me basic stitches and love for crochet. Every fall I get in the mood to crochet. She used to make us Barbie Doll clothes that she crocheted also.
I watched my mom and grandmother crochet and learned. So glad I did because I now have taught 2 of my grand daughters. Pass it on to your grand daughters and it is a lovely gift to leave them.
I was thinking the same thing. My wreath theme is peppermint (red and white) and thought this would be a cute tie back for my curtains to match the wreath.
Such an adaptable cute pattern! I’d start with a headband personally, but bearing in mind that you can adjust the length, the colours, the yarn thickness/material to get the right size for your project, it would make lovely bracelets and lanyard necklaces, bag/purse straps, collars for pets, belts (especially with a sparkly yarn paired with a dark yarn, such as gold and black), straps for dresses, edging for mats or blankets or quilts, curtain tie-backs, a Christmas wreath hanger in that festive red and white, decorative garland if made longer (to decorate a Christmas tree or just the room) and the single, open-looped crocheted strand would be lovely to use to peg Christmas cards to or as a tree garland, just made longer. Make 3 longer ones of these in just a single colour then plait/braid them together for a thick, warm, snuggly scarf. For Christmas ideas in this colour scheme, could be attached around the top of a kid’s Christmas stocking (for putting gifts in, not stockings for wearing) or used as a scarf for a teddy bear. Perfect for finishing touches. Does that help anyone going ‘yeah, but what is it?’? It’s a crochet trim that can be used however you want!
This is so cute. I’m just a beginner to crocheting, but am definitely going to try my hand at this. It will make a beautiful handcrafted garland for my families Christmas tree. Thx so much for sharing.
I was thinking the exact same thing. If you use nothing heavier than DK it would be a perfect garland for the tree. I think this would also be cute if you did about three loops in the school colors in attached a tassel at one end and a clip at the other four a bag charm or a backpack charm or a keychain.
I can understand your confusion since the video has the name Knitting in the title. Maybe the person who put the video together didn't know the difference either.
make it thicker for a belt , shorter for a headband, and made with jute for a mat edging. curtain tie backs. shoulder straps on a summer dress. the list is as long as we can imagine.
🎉 🇻🇪 Recién lo terminé... Disfruté elaborarlo y ver como quedó... Me encantó el tutorial ya que no necesitas palabras para explicarlo y entenderlo. Hasta la música de fondo ideal. Bendiciones ❤😊
This crocheted piece is beautifully done. It seems simple to make and relatively quick, too. But what is it used for....what do you do with it?!? I don't understand. Please explain.
Maybe add more to make a braided rug , purse, braids for doll, place mats, pillow trim etc. Use different threads, yarn for each project. Just let your creativity flow
Wow! What a simple but brilliant idea and so mamy ways to use it. It would look lovely as a strap on a beach bag and definitely some form of Christmas decoration. Thanks for sharing, it's beautiful!

This looks fun, but just to note. This isn’t knitting. Knitting and crochet are two different things. You guys all know the channel is Knitting Life, right?? 😹😹 But all the tutorials are crochet. Again, this isn’t knitting. It’s crochet, like All the tutorials. Jeez, learn to READ CHANNEL NAMES ALSO.
In some language some our words are not properly translated so they use the most similar words they can find. It’s kind of like in some countries, the term football is used to describe in reference to American soccer.
But what is it??? 8:13 worth of a video and the person failed to tell us what it is. That’s kinda important!! It’s a waste of time and frustrating when you reach the end of the video and it’s even more confusing than the beginning!! No. The bad comments are absolutely warranted because one would expect to be told what the video is for. This person didn’t say anything, which if we would have known that, we wouldn’t have watched it. We aren’t clairvoyant!
I made this, so easy. Was making it a garland for my Christmas tree but my puppy had other ideas lol. Then I had to make a smaller one for my daughters chihuahua puppy. I will eventually make one for my tree, my cat now loves it so I had to make him one.
The words “knitting” & “weave” may limit avid crocheted to even glance at this vid or might even prevent this vid showing up in crochters’ YT feeds/notifications! So glad I watched! Just fyi. Great patt!
This would be great for school craft fairs and use the school colors. Band could use them as straps for instruments, make bracelets, etc. School spirit!
Almost deleted when I saw knitting! Prob good to mention word “crochet” on your thumbnail! But, Ty! What a great unique CROCHET project. So glad you offered the patt!
I think depending on the size, you can do whatever you want with it. Without combing them together here, you could make several and attach to have a full blanket. I'm thinking about doing that. You could do the 10 sc on each but just one side and attached two full strands at the thinner side to make a thicker garland or table runner. Obviously having them together can do a garland as well as separate. During the video I also thought this would make a great strap for a crocheted bag. Really, this one can be used for a LOT. Your only limited by your imagination
I think it would be a great holiday garland or if you made it very short it would be a cute backpack charm with a clip at one end and a tassel at the other or, if you made it with chunky yarn you could attach jingle bells in the middle of each braid and hang it from the door knob. Or just keep it as it is and loop it across a shelf or a mantle and pin holiday cards from it.
Using Christmas colors, I think they could be made short for napkin holders, a little longer to be used as chair ties or garland. You could also use a charm and make it a choker.
even though it's going to be a lot of yarn, but I would like to make my mom a throw blanket the exact same stitch and pattern as you. the way it looks, it's very amazing
Amazing!!!! I wanted to make something unique for my Christmas decorations this year and this came in handy! Looooove this and my pieces came out great! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this video! The end result can be used for so many things! I will keep this pattern for future reference so if I need to make a belt, headband, strong rope, dog leash etc. Thanks again! ❤
I bet I could make a dog leash using an appropriate clasp at one end and a loop of it at the other end. I will need to play around with it. Thank you for sharing!
I made one so i could attatch to top of door frame and hang to floor. I hung some of my crochecheted bells on it. Today i'm going to try making a bookmark with crochet thread and put beads at end.

i imagined tree garland too&
Absolutly beautiful.
I thought about adding some Jingle Bells for the door, too!
my thoughts exactly-red and gold
Oh, what a fabulous idea!! Garland!!
I already have a million ideas on what to do with this.... love it

I learned to sew and knit at the age of 8 also. Learned how to crochet later in life. I'm very thankful for these skills.
Me too! From grandmother, at age 8
I think they'd look great as curtain tie backs 😍

Very pretty and easy to make. Great colors for Christmas decorations.
I would have never guessed that would be so easy. Knitting stitching you make look so easy.
That is Crochet, NOT knitting, Knitting is different, Crochet uses a needle that has a Hook on it, I'm so sorry you Have been confused
That is CROCHET, Knitting is different lol

Wow! You did well! Best I could come ip with was a cat or dog collar! Someone’s idea of a Santa suit belt was pretty imaginative also! 👍✨🪢

May be a "duh" question. Can I ask what this is used for? I think it's beautiful.
I think the idea is Christmas decorations for trees or wreaths or whatever but I think it could make great straps
Garland or maybe even a handbag strap@@nadiachilmonik
I am going to try this and make a headband for my horse's bridle!
