This is incredibly thorough! I can see how much a team could benefit from this system. Do you do each of these steps with each song every week? Or just when you prepare and introduce new songs? That's a big workload

Once you get the library loaded up and you’re reusing songs, it’s pretty easy to maintain. We typically only introduce 10-12 new songs a year, so about once a month we have to do this for one song.

This should be sponsored by @planningcenteronline I mean, they sponsor podcasts all the time. Great tips bro.

Here are a few things I see almost every week; primarily with those of us in the world who only are watching services from home at this time:
    1. The person who is doing the online media streaming mix doesn't have song sheets or cue sheets. They miss or butcher a moment in a song where an instrument is to be louder or softer, or a singer is doing a special part and they aren't elevated to be able to hear at home. Fader monkeys vs. active musical participants.
    2. Camera operators who don't have a list of established shots for various songs or sermon events. Distracting transitions, or perhaps not enough variety in shooting to be engaging.
    3. Pro Presenter (or however your words are displayed on a background screen) people who aren't musical, and miss transitions within a song or a special moment.
I honestly believe all these people should be as engaged and thought of for the whole online service as the people performing on the platform. It's even more embarrassing when a team leader who wants a quick rehearsal wastes 10-15 minutes just getting paperwork to the team...
    Rant ended. ;)

Henry. You hit the nail on the head. ALL these videos discuss how to make everything wonderful for those presenting BUT if the people, running the house sound or now days the streams, don't know how the song is to sound then the band sounds great TO THEMSELVES but sounds horrible to the congregation and those watching the streams. Example. I was watching my church live on FaceBook. Notice the lead singer/speaker voice sounded weak and hollow. I "commented" on their post that I believe this person's mic was off. Within 5 seconds I could hear his voice coming up and being balanced with the mix. The problem at this church is everyone running the boards for sanctuary AND the boards for the stream never listen to the songs and actually begin running their boards a few minutes before the service starts. BUT no videos on UA-cam mention this.

Are you building those drum & lyric charts in PCO with templates, or outside of PCO & uploaded?

I love that chart for the Drummer! Good stuff man!!

It really has been a great communication tool to help me and my drummers align on the same page...

Yes, that's really a great idea. In our experience most drummers don't read charts and if you give them the same chart the rest of the musicians get, it's just a waste of paper!

Oh i have had worship leaders and pastors put in the wrong video or artist into planning center also Just a note you can record reherssal of the entire band and listen to it during the week or share it lets say someone can not make reherssal but can be there sunday morning then you would share that file of the recording with that person in a text message.
