I would argue that The Sims 2 is very clunky by modern standards. However, it has the gameplay and quirkiness that The Sims 4 lacks. For that, the game is worth playing. When I play The Sims 2, I have to focus on the Sims themselves, and not the outside world unlike in The Sims 3. Open-world is a massive addition that makes the neighborhood come alive.
