How was that cheating? He used Bruce’s own obsession and determination against him. No one told Bruce to try and round up all of those arkham inmates alone or to spend three days non-stop doing so. Tom Hardy’s Bane said it best “Victory has defeated you.”

Bane spent months observing Batman knew exactly what to do. Though I'm never a fan of Batman beating Bane. There should always be a villain or two a hero just can't take.

Everybody is so preoccupied with Batman cheating to one-up his fight with Bane, but then here comes another Batman (which I am to assume is Thomas Wayne) disrespecting his son's moral code and killing Bane in the process. Bitch, he did all this shit for YOU and Martha; so, why betray him and side with Wesker?!
He never killed Bane, he just shot him in the end, later on when it ends, Bane breaks Thomas back in Arkham as payback for betraying him
Because this run was stupid and Thomas Wayne's motivation made zero sense.

@@travmadison2000 His motivation was to make Bruce happy by teaming up with Bane, taking over Gotham, then putting Bruce into a dream machine, and then killing Alfred (yeah Bane did that but it's not as though Thomas seemed to care), so he would stop being Batman, and be happy. How does that even begin to make sense.
@@idk9149 Wow clearly you didn't read the comic. Like at all, I am guessing maybe you just looked at the art, because you are sooo far off and really missed the whole point behind his character.... His motivation wasn't to really make Bruce happy per say, it was to make Bruce see that he doesn't need to be Batman. That he (Thomas ) can be Batman instead so Bruce can live a life, free of the "Vow" he made. Because as his father, all be it an alternate reality father, he felt and knew the pain and loss he went through and the process to be comes the Batman in the first place since he himself was the Batman of his reality. It is why He teamed up with Bane, to break Bruce down, to have him "beaten" so he could see the folly in being and dedicating himself to being Batman. This all comes full circle from their time together from the New52/Rebirth and the Button. Its party why he went and dragged Bruce through the desert to revive Martha so they could be a family.
I mean jesus it pretty much tells you all of this shit, in the last issue of City of Bane, when Bruce and Thomas confronted each other after this fight with Bane....

Honestly Batman is a fool for not using one of the countless serums, magical artifact, divine artifact, or even just technology to permanently give himself some measure of super powers. He needs to have enhanced strength, enhanced speed, enhanced senses, and a healing factor. With those additions he would be unstoppable.

It could be intentional. He once said the Justice League was the contingency plan against him, so getting powers might destroy even that possibility.

This could've been incredible, yet just like everything in King's run, he ruins every bit of potential. This was supposed to be the ultimate test of Bruce's character. Bane killing Alfred would've made Bruce obsess over bringing Bane down by himself. It's literally Joe Chill 2.0 except that Bruce wasn't that small, scared, and helpless child he was. This time, he was Batman.
Edit: It's not the dirty fighting, but that he had Catwoman help and that she was the one who did most of the damage to Bane in this fight.

IDC what the Bat Stans say, Batman was corny in this one. He's supposedly a genius detective, master tactician and martial artist and the best plan he could come up with is jumping Bane and taping batarangs to his back? If you want to see how this fight should've went, watch the Batman vs The Mutant leader rematch.
The mutant leader isn't as strong as bane though I think, and I think bane is more of a threat
@@poptro5229 He very much is, Mutant Leader is just a huge bodybuilder while Bane is a drug induced Hulk. Bane could very easily kill the Mutant Leader with two hits, Bane's fist hit's the Leader's face and Leader's face hits the ground.
Plus Bane is meant to be a super genius. He's meant to be brains and brawn. I feel like him actually giving Catwoman the benefit of the doubt enough for her to assist Batman in cheating undersells his tactical capabilities.
This is exactly why Tom Kings run in Batman was horrendous. This, the wedding, shooting Dick in the head, the list goes on.
The image of Bruce snapping Bane’s back looks so ridiculous because Bane is like two feet bigger. It’s like if Ben Affleck snaps The Rock’s back.
Bane totally outclasses Batman weight wise so I see no reason why he wouldn’t jump this man

There's so much potential there for an amazing fight
They do Bane dirty here. An author convenietly strips away Bane's prolific prison experience (which would include, at the very least, a know-how in dirty fighting) as well as his uncanny intelligence, especially, combat intelligence. He acts like a mindless brute here, nothing more. No composure, no guile, no finesse. Such a contrived, disappointing scuffle.
See, this is why you never have your protagonist fight dirty. Because, in this scenario, Batman seems like the villain. Throughout this fight, I want Batman to lose. If you showed this to someone who had no clue about anything in this story, bane looks like the hero. He has to overcome odds stacked against him, he has the sympathizing speech, and he is the one who has to dig deep to come out on top. And even then he loses. And to the people saying that Batman taking off his mask shows how he respects Bane, in this situation, it shows the opposite. He's willing to use something bane holds dearly as a tool. That is not respect.

I like this but don't think this is the maim timeline. I like the second fight between them better, the one after Bane has been put in prison by Azrael and he weens off of Venom but builds back his muscles Bronson-style and returns to Gotham sometime during No Man's Land, and in their fight near the harbour just when he gets the upper hand he makes Batman really angry and gets the crap beaten out of him. I had goosebumps reading that whole issue.
All I want to know is the name of the song at 4:51, oh and batman wins because he does what needs to be done. He achieved his goal by any means, that's how he stops joker and that's how he tricks bane every damn time! Lol love you batman!

Batman: greatest DC villain of all time
The first time these two fought directly and Bane won? Batman had been run ragged over a whole week and was injured, exhausted and ill. He'd been beaten to a pulp over and over again after Bane broke ALL of his enemies out of Arkham, since the GCPD just couldn't cope. Batman had been run so rough it was all he could do just to stand up and walk around. On top of which, Bane had the Venom which made him superhumanly strong...
He still jumped Batman in Wayne Manor and took down Alfred first, after making sure nobody else was in the mansion, just to be sure. When Batman came back from a broken back, he put Bane down bare-handed so hard it took him years in Blackgate to come back to what he was.
Also, for the record, with the twisted version of Thomas Wayne coming over from another Reality to "Cure" Bruce of being Batman by running him out of Gotham and forcing him to watch Bane kill Alfred? I utterly detest the whole storyline.

AN ALTERNATE VERSION OF BATMAN I IMAGINE MIGHT EXIST IN A DIFFERENT REALM:
Now I imagine in a different dimensional realm, an alternate version of (Bruce Wayne) became a MetaHuman, and I imagine he became that way two weeks after his first set of fights against criminals as BATMAN.
Now I imagine that (Bruce Wayne) aka Batman, is best good friends with (H.G. Wells) & a great friend with the first (BLUE BEETLE) aka (Dan Garrett).
I should mention that I imagine that Bruce’s friend (Dan Garrett) he knows him since high-school, to college, and after college.
But when it comes to Bruce’s friend (H.G. Wells) I imagine he met him two years after Bruce had graduated from college.
In addition I imagine that Bruce’s dormant MetaHuman genes got activated, from being exposed to malfunctioned experiment of his friend (Dan Garrett) & I imagine that it had to do with genetic manipulation to improve upon certain genetic traits.
Now I imagine that one of Bruce’s abilities is being able to increase the level of strength he can do, and so with this ability he is capable of taking on a mega strong villain like (Bane) without using a mechanical suit to help him do it.

In a PURE physical fight, Batman OBIVOUSLY can't beat bane at all, that's just fact and the whole point of the character.
Batman doesn't kill. He never said he doesn't play dirty. He's an unpowered guy in a world with Supermen, Etrigans and everything in between; he does what he has to.
When you're fighting for your life, you need to fight dirty.
