Everything worthwhile, I learned after graduating. Real life is the best teacher. Lesson? OK, kids finish school, don't do drugs and get a skilled job. You'll be happier for it. Good report Mike et al.
Most interesting fact not taught in school: in the 1990’s, soft tissue and blood cells were discovered in T-Rex bones in Montana. The discovery calls into question the idea that dinosaurs went extinct 63 million years ago.
Captain Buzzkill here! I never understood the shark statistic. Yeah, they're not as vicious as people imagine. But the primary reason you're far less likely to be bitten by one than humans is because you're far more likely to encounter humans than you are sharks. No one spends most of their time underwater.
That's mad I was watching a documentary about space a while ago and they said space does smell like burn or gunpowder. I heard a lot of them. Sticking a needle in your eye? Nuts 😂😂😂 Buy The Book! Or I'll start your mom jokes!
You never really learn facts in school. Math and language learned, yes(but not facts). Any kind of "facts" to do with science, history, etc. Almost all that is taught is just plain wrong.
Is that really a word, though? It's just a compounding of every chemical in it in order mashed together. By that definition I could make the new longest word in the world by just listing off all the proteins in order of a double helix off a fern, which has hundreds of thousands of proteins and each protein is 7ish letters long. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is usually the record holder, being a Latin phrase for silica in the lungs.
And slavery is still legal in the US. That's right! They don't teach that in school, but it is written in the 13th Amendment of the Constitution. To wit: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, //except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted// (emphasis mine), shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction". Which adds an interesting spin to the little fact that, while the demographics of race in the US is approximately 13% Black, the demographics of the Federal Prison System is 34% Black.
I hate to say this, but slavery, child labour, prison labour, debtours prisons are still around and increasing. Last I heard, 60 million people are now stuck in slavery worldwide
I was a victim of human trafficking from 6-21, sold by my own mother in '94 just a month after my birthday. I've tried speaking up about modern slavery but was told as a white demon I have no rights speaking about slavery. If you dare speak of anything except the Atlantic slave trade you are told to shit

In organic chemistry, there are rules for making the names of chemicals. It is a system that works well for smallish molecules. It allows everyone to know what is being talked about. For complicated big stuff it doesn't serve the purpose.
Yes, and no, it is not slavery to have your kids do chores around the house. I always reminded my son, "It is not as if we live where you'd have to shovel snow." Mowing does have benefits.

Shut up Meg.
Probably not as many bites from humans lead to fatalities.
Sharks are dangerous yes but there are more dangerous Fish Like the Stonefish is more dangerous than a Shark.
Yeah, you can't compare the two. Not until people can breathe underwater and live in oceans and come in contact with as many sharks as people.
Yeah, you can't really compare the two.
Less gravity in the Hudson Bay area? Guess I’ll get weighed up there from now on. Thanks, Mike!
I learned about the ear bones, but it is always fascinating learning more about the design of the human body.
Rabbits are closely related to Rats so they can't puke like rats either
Nice set of facts, Mike! Also, I noticed you're doing vids every single day now, sweet! 😃 What brought that on?
I didn't realize the gravity of the situation.

That's mad I was watching a documentary about space a while ago and they said space does smell like burn or gunpowder. I heard a lot of them. Sticking a needle in your eye? Nuts 😂😂😂

I tried to do a search on that longest word you mentioned and came up empty.
8: Apparently, there are suicide bomber ants. Cool. 😎👍🏻
How do they know there's gold down their, can't get down their, and can't see it?
I live very close to where the nuke got dropped.
You are cool 😎
To skibidi or not to skibidi, that is the question.
You pronounced “Alexandre Berthier” as Alex Trebek would’ve. ❤
Horses can't vomit either. They can die from colic.
You never really learn facts in school. Math and language learned, yes(but not facts). Any kind of "facts" to do with science, history, etc. Almost all that is taught is just plain wrong.
You also learn social behavior.

So Hubert farnswoth was right now also is Invent the smellascope
You are more likely to be beaten by a cat than a shark.
Yes, I have been bitten by a cat twice. Given that I have had zero bites from sharks, that makes the ration infinite.
23 rats are the same way
I think it is true of the whole linage of rates and mice and so on.
Cool fact #26: You're much more likely to be bitten by your wife than your daughter.
I hate to say this, but slavery, child labour, prison labour, debtours prisons are still around and increasing. Last I heard, 60 million people are now stuck in slavery worldwide

Good for Bill Gates to allow everyone access to DaVinci's book. And the chemical name for Titin is just unnecessarilu excessive IMO. Just why?
In organic chemistry, there are rules for making the names of chemicals. It is a system that works well for smallish molecules. It allows everyone to know what is being talked about. For complicated big stuff it doesn't serve the purpose.
So there are ants that suside boomer
And bitten proverbially by them aswell...
Slavery is still legal in the US as long as it is used for criminal punishment.
Ooooooh edgey 😂
Yes, and no, it is not slavery to have your kids do chores around the house.
I always reminded my son, "It is not as if we live where you'd have to shovel snow." Mowing does have benefits.
Whatever dude.
yeah just stick Titin , besides that word is as long as a short story .
❤Mike and 25
As much of information you give us Mike, you should dedicate an entire video to the longest word in the English language.
Cow fact makes me want to turn vegan.
Cows moo with a regional accent.
First.
You guys Ned to try a little harder. Something like half of these are posted all over the place.
I watch random facts videos all the time and there were a lot here that I have never heard. Maybe you need to try harder to not be a cynical douche.
