My favorite thing about this bag is the smell and the sound of the leather when you're handling it. It sounds like a high quality bag. Nothing against Louies, but they don't smell or sound like a Florentine!

I have used saddle soap/conditioner on my leather bags ( except Louis Vuitton) and shoes for years. I was told by a shoe salesman that it would prolong their life. Usually, I will do the purses once a year or every two years. The shoes are usually done at the start of fall and end of winter. Your purse contents remind me of my purse prior to Covid. Now it’s just the minimal amount. I would love to see your permanent purse collection. Purses bring us joy.

I ran across one of your videos on how to clean a Dooney Bourke bag, when I saw the Florentine bag I just had to have one, follow your adviced and found one on Poshmark it looks brand new, I don't think they ever used it. the shoulder strap still has the plastic around it. Hi Dawn, I am in love with this bag. Everything about it is gorgeous! It checks all the boxes. Good to know about the weight of their leather goods. Definitely shows quality but can also be straining on a lady with a bad back or shoulder. Mine bought off QVC w/ the colored same ones ( the medium& large) ended up skinning up on the edges sides down to the plastic I’m upset since the strawberry color got ink on it & just noticed cleaning that it had the plastic showing around the edges. Buyer beware. Nice bags though I own 4 of them diff size n colors.

@@priscillam9850 it is a heavier bag. It is thick leather and good quality hardwear so it’s not for a long day of walking. It is a great everyday bag though!
wow! You and the florentine bag are absolutely stunning! I recently missed out on purchasing the Fuschia color! I have the red, elephant, and slate. Dooney list the color: red as bright and it me the color red of florentine is more for fall, it was not a bright red! :( Sorry, off-topic, love the bag. I am going to have to get it!
Gorgeous bag...and like your hair style too. I'm surprised they had the flat bottom version 5 years ago. Love that Dooney style and your LV accessories coordinate beautifully. TFS.
They actually say “ You don’t Have to treat the bags” because the leather is the same that a horse saddle is made of and the aging looks better over time. I prefer to treat mine with leather protectant so it protects it from water marks(from rain) and it seems to distress in a more even tone. If you prefer not to treat it they suggest rubbing the scuffs with the oils from your fingers. I hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching!!!😘
Dawn just got my bag and love it! It's so much lighter than my Brenna and I packed a larger umbrella, phone, 10" tablet, phone and other things and it's still lighter. I just learned how to convert the strap to a handbag and it's perfect!

I love the color and shape of this handbag. So beautiful! Love love love handbags. I do have to throw out my wallet and transfer into a new one soon. My poor wallet is embarrassing to pull out. I definitely have to purchase the bag oil. I have a beautiful leather backpack I purchased in Italy and I noticed the bag has a very dark spot on the outer flap from being packed away. Possibly it was damp on that flap when I put it away. I really hope it is not ruined. Either way spot or not I love that backpack and it brings back great memories. This was a fun video! I got the mini Florentine on eBay years ago, it was close to 100.00 but I loved the style so much, I splurged. It really doesn’t hold much at all but it’s so pretty.

I very luckily found the same bag in large that is a beautiful burgandy leather with certificate and dust bag for $75 because the buyer had back problems and said it was just too heavy for her. why do you think they say not to treat the bags?
They actually say “ You don’t Have to treat the bags” because the leather is the same that a horse saddle is made of and the aging looks better over time. I prefer to treat mine with leather protectant so it protects it from water marks(from rain) and it seems to distress in a more even tone. If you prefer not to treat it they suggest rubbing the scuffs with the oils from your fingers. I hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching!!!😘

Dawn just got my bag and love it! It's so much lighter than my Brenna and I packed a larger umbrella, phone, 10" tablet, phone and other things and it's still lighter. I just learned how to convert the strap to a handbag and it's perfect!

I think the Brenna is heavier. Mine doesn’t have a strong odor. The leather smell should fade with use. I hope you like the leather products!!

I love the color and shape of this handbag. So beautiful! Love love love handbags. I do have to throw out my wallet and transfer into a new one soon. My poor wallet is embarrassing to pull out.
I definitely have to purchase the bag oil. I have a beautiful leather backpack I purchased in Italy and I noticed the bag has a very dark spot on the outer flap from being packed away. Possibly it was damp on that flap when I put it away. I really hope it is not ruined. Either way spot or not I love that backpack and it brings back great memories.

Thank you so much!! You might be able to diminish the water spot. I love Apple Leather conditioner and Otter leather oil. The Otter range has leather salve too that is very nice and helpful for rubbing out deeper scratches.

Yes, Dawn, writing things out longhand cements it in our subconscious; even better if it's in cursive! I'm guessing the earrings are the culprit because they'd hit the side of your face/cheek as you bend over, so just doublecheck what metal they are. Lovely bag! Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY

I very luckily found the same bag in large that is a beautiful burgandy leather with certificate and dust bag for $75 because the buyer had back problems and said it was just too heavy for her. I wish it had a long strap but it is 100% a permanent collection bag!!! 💛 great review!! Your hair is beautiful!!!
