Before 2010 there was hardly any lads in Mount Druitt/Penrith Greater West area. They had Gang Grey and they wore dickies and chucks/nike cortez or adidas superstar like most polys back then same as NZ polys. There was Liverpool and Bankstown Bloods as well. Most of the lads were from South West(Claymore\Campbelltown) & Innerwest(Guildford\Granville) when G40 was blowing up from the news in 2008 and raves(Defqon) were getting popular hence why Hooligan Hefs put out dance tracks instead of drill music initially to reference back to the Original Lad culture.

They're from Claymore, SouthWest Sydney. It's ONE of the poorest places in all of Western Sydney. Majority of the area is residential and almost exclusively GOVERNMENT HOUSING. As opposed to other places in Western Sydney, where infrastructure has more business, jobs and mixed with government housing and privately owned propertities. So most of the people there are low income families. Lots of Samoans, Tongans, (& other Pacific islanders), Indigenous Aussies and Anglo Australians living there. Sadly the place is known for it's drugs and to be a stronghold for bikie gangs.

The main real street gangs in Aus are bikies, probably second only to the States and NZ in terms of how much they're influential. Sometimes bikie recruitment is on ethnic lines - Comancheros have a lot of Lebanese Shia for example- but not always. Got Rebels, Finks, Comancheros, Hells Angels and a bunch more 1%ers. There was a golden age for Asian gangs like 5T (Vietnamese) a few decades ago but that's died down. I don't know about Aus but New Zealand is heavily influenced by West Coast and Midwest Hip Hop it comes from Polynesian communities in East Palo alto, Carson City and Long Beach.
