    Awesome bracelet! what I did find useful, but it changed the original bracelet a bit to rid the problem of the feed loop loosening due to excessive use was to add a slide knot between the stop knot to it and it worked super on it. It rid the problem of it loosening on you.

    This is great. 8’ was a bit short for me. But it’s a starting place and adding a foot made this perfect with minimal waste

    I switched completely from knot and loop to the Mad Max style. It's a lot easier to put the bracelets on and off and you can make a bracelet for a friend or family member without measuring. But it is a great video

    I really like this style bracelet. I can't wait to get home and start making it. I wish I had this color to work with. I think the toughest part is going to bet the knot. But, I'm sure I'll get it before I turn batty! Thanks for the tutorial.

    Suggestion : why not (no pun) use a doubled piece of 550 scrap to hold the hole open? That way you can keep the hole nice and tight.
    Thoughts?

    Hey! Thanks for this tutorial. :D I bought some paracord a while back and the tutorial that came with it wasn't exactly helpful (illustrations were botched, I think, or I'm just a bit stupid...). I used to do a lot of macramé years ago, but have never attempted this knot before, and only ever used hemp, which of course isn't as useful or sturdy. That being said, I found this easy to pick up, and am pleased with the result. I really like the look of this design, prefer it over the cobra one (mainly because that was what I mainly used to do back in the day), and it feels more flexible on the wrist. :)

    Very easy to follow instruction! My question is, given i do not have a mans wrist on hand to measure on, how many inches of cord is left when you pull it through the loop before making the end knot?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  8 років тому

      It depends if you want a short cord when pulled through I think the minimum is about 2 inches or so. Any less and it will be really hard to get the bracelet over your hand.

    in this tutorial you tie each snake not separately, but in your other snake knot tutorials, they are linked.... is there a difference? a reason I would do one method over the other? Thanks!

    • @TheWeaversofEternity

      There's not really much of a difference, the linked snake knots is a slightly thicker bracelet. Overall though, they look almost the same.

    Can this Bracelet be used in a survival scenario?

    • @XDSamXD
      @XDSamXD 8 років тому +1

      +Chief Michael IMHO there are other bracelet design which are more suitable for "survival" scenarios. Either you go for a design made with a hidden compartment that allows to carry small gear or (probably more useful) you make a bracelet which can be quickly unravelled and used as cord. I personally would go for the second option, maybe attaching a button compass and a closing system that can be reused. There are tons of gadgets and mods out there, for exhample they make quick release buckles with built in compass and whistle...

    • @_Michael_01
      @_Michael_01 8 років тому

      I was wondering if this particular bracelet could be quick deployed

    • @XDSamXD
      @XDSamXD 8 років тому

      +Chief Michael I don't think so, plus the diamond knot has to be undone first and that can be quite fiddly. All the quick deploy bracelet I know use buckles and cord must not be melted on the knot otherwise you have to cut it short. This design is very cool but not as functional as a Zipbraid or traditional Solomon Bar with a Buckle as far as quick deployment goes. Still I'll make one again and see what's what ;)

    Definitely going to give this one a go, I like that style. One thing I have started doing is instead of preshrinking my cord before doing everything, I now shrink after creating whatever it is I am creating. In this case, I would make the bracelet a little large, usually about a 1/2 inch larger than what I would wear, and then when complete, soak it in super hot water, not so much boiling, and then let it air dry over night. It tightens everything up, and in the case where the slack was a little loose, it would be nice and tight in the morning. Thanks for this tutorial, great job!
