So if microwave dead just open cabinet and you know if outlet trip gfci, breaker or it fuse in microwave Also nice to have little light in dark cabinet
Outlet was an oversight, can't think of everything, especially being a first time home builder. When I cut the opening, I forgot to factor in that the cabinets drop 1 inch from the ceiling due to the trim. We already have more cabinet space than we know what to do with, so I'm not concerned for this cabinet being anything more than space for the microwave.
Really nice job on the cabinet installation, your attention to detail is amazing. Tiffany is going to have a beautiful kitchen, can't wait to see the outside cooking area.
Andrew just a tip. If you don't have crimpers for metal pipe you can use a needle nose pliers to make the crimp. Grab the pipe with the needle nose goe about 1.3 - 2" in and give the pliers a little twist. Do this all the way around the pipe and it is the next best thing to actual crimpers.

Andrew you are doing a great job and like I said before, the kitchen is looking awesome. A fellow before said to use screws in the vent pipe and that is a no no. Not on a vent hood. Also one thing in the future, you want to run the hard vent pipe the other direction. You want the pipe to slide into the next pipe toward the exit. Once again, I'm seriously impressed with your methods of doing everything in this video and the outcome of your work. Very beautiful. I can see that the microwave is a Whirlpool. Are all your new appliances Whirlpool brand? My wife and I have been upgrading our kitchen appliances to matching stainless steel units (house came with white fridge, stove and dishwasher with a stainless GE over range microwave) and now we have LG brand fridge and dual oven range. Dishwasher will be next, and my OCD is telling me I better get an LG dishwasher and then replace the 16 year old microwave (that works fine) with an LG. If you're not going with all matching brands, I might be able to hold off on the microwave for a few years, lol. I wonder if I could just buy a stainless steel "LG" and replace the GE badge on the microwave? 🤔
I just installed a similar unit. I am very disappointed in the installation options for attaching the duct adapter to the microwave. I ended up using pipe wrap on the edges on the adapter to press against the top of the microwave. The foam pipe wrap is fire rated to make a foam gasket. Then once the vent pipe was installed I pushed down on the pipe to compress the foam wrap. Sealed up pretty well. You have twice as much room as I did though. Looks good.
I think that maybe people were asking about the height of the microwave because if it's not high enough your range will end up being way to close to the bottom of the microwave. If I remember right it was something like 66 inches but it's been years since I sold appliances so don't quote me.
No I had several people ask if we could see inside and see food if it boiled over. Others were worried Tiffany was too short to see in, she's practically my height 🤣
You COULD'VE Pulled down the cabinet and mount it onto the microwave. Then mount them both as 1 UNIT. But with all you've done, You'd best leave it the way it is.
I left a comment after your live on Sunday but didn't get a response, so I'll mention again in case you missed it. Have you checked into epoxy countertops? You can have the granite look you want without the worry of burning it and at a fraction of the cost. Approx $5 a sq ft can get you the counter of your dreams. I also just saw a video of an epoxy shower, in a million dollar home. It was gorgeous.
