probably because he's listened to UK drill too. Once you get exposed to Uk slang it's easier to understand other countries that have similar accents, like Aussie and NZ. I think that why Uk music is slowly, finally to cross over into the US finally because this generation has a little bit more exposure to music form across the globe, not just UK, thanks to youtube. Whereas before only people who had family and friends from other countries had exposure to different music. I got into UK singer, from childhood because they used to play their music here in Canada back in the day, more so than grime/rappers or drillers.
But now they're started to play the rappers here thanks to Drake collaborating with them. The singers always have it easier though because people like singers regardless. But with rappers people have to learn the slang , and get used to the accents. I only know about Australia/New Zealand because of indie films. But the UK and Australia/New Zealand have to push their culture in general but make it flexible like how these guys are doing. That's why different people gravitate to their music because they mix their unique sound with UK drill but make it their own. But they also listen to US drill/hiphop there so they incorporate that if they tour North America. It'll be easier for them to tour UK but with America it's harder but not impossible, thanks to some people being more open minded now.
